Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. these are cheaper compared to the 35L pack dividers. Except the big dividers, are the smaller ones same as in the 35l pack?

A: In terms of how the Nomatic McKinnon Camera Pack 25L Divider Kits are made, they are the same as the ones for the 35L pack, but the 25L ones are just smaller.

Q: 2. Is the Whistler 350AW ii airline carry-on compatible?

A: While the airline carriers have the final say, this does fall under the maximum linear dimensions allowed as carry-on baggage. For assurance, I recommend speaking to your airline to avoid issues during boarding.

Q: 3. I have a question regarding the straps, how wide are the straps? can I still use my peak design clip?

A: So the upper parts of the straps are about 3" wide and taper as they go down. So on the top parts of the straps it looks like the Peak Design Capture Clip won't fit, but if you position it lower on the straps it will.

Q: 4. The negative review comments on strap comfort - anyone else find this an issue? Many thanks

A: Most customers find the straps on the Lowepro Whistler Backpack 350 AW II (Gray) to be comfortable.

Q: 5. Can I carry a D5 with 200-400mm f/4 VR attached with the hood inverted, a Nikon AF-D ED 80-200mm f/2.8 and a Sigma 24-70 2.8 Ex Dg in this model or should I upgrade to the 450 AW II? Many thanks

A: You will be best served with a larger/taller bag: the combined length of the D5 and the 200-400mm lens is about 18" and the 350 AW II has an interior camera compartment measuring 15.4". The 450 AW II's camera compartment measures 16.5", which is actually still a bit short to be ideal. If you remove the lens from the camera body, you should be able to fit everything into the smaller 350 AW II bag.

Q: 6. I know the video says slim 15" laptops will fit the laptop compartment, but has anyone tried the 16" Macbook Pro? Does it fit?

A: The 16" MBP is very, very similar in size to the 15" MBP; the difference is the bezel on the 16" is smaller, allowing for a larger screen in the very similar chassis. According to dimensions, Bag's laptop slot: 10.8 x 16.1 x 0.8" 15" MBP: 9.48 x 13.7 x 0.61" 16" MBP: 9.68 x 14.09 x 0.64"

Q: 7. Does the pocket on the outer side (not the main compartment) have interior pockets?

A: The front pocket on the Lowepro Whistler Backpack 350 AW II (Gray) has a small mesh pocket. The rest of the compartment is design to hold outdoor sports gears and sharp objects. If you need additional space for small personal items you can use the top pocket.

Q: 8. Will a DJI RS2 Pro Case fit into the Top Compartment?

A: The top compartment is 11.4 x 10 x 5.1" / 29 x 25.4 x 13 cm. You would need to check the dimensions of the case you want to put inside. I am not seeing one by the exact name you list.

Q: 9. Will the 350 aw ii fit a gripped D850 with 500mm pf attached or should I go with the 450 aw ii?

A: This bag should just fit the D850 with grip and the 500mm pf lens.

Q: 10. How to access the side pocket if it is a backpack? A backpack needs two front straps, there is no way to have a quick side access unless at least one strap is taken off. I love the comfort of backpack because it distributes the weight evenly but I also like the sling type bag for fast access. Is this the combo of both worlds?

A: Just like others have stated, you have to slip one strap off in order to slide the pack around to the front.
