The Westcott Background Support System #9014 crossbar is made up of 3 pieces of tubing which you can see at the fjwestcott dot com website.With all three pieces of the crossbar used the width is 10.5ft, but the width at the stand bases (tripods) is 12.5ft. So, it definitely won't fit in your room.With only two pieces of the crossbar used the width is reduced to 7ft. Total width at the stand bases would be 9ft. This would fit in your room. Keep in mind that you would be limited to 7 ft wide backdrops, which is ok if you use Canvas as there are many to choose from. But with Muslin & Fabric, and Seamless Paper backdrops there are few options in 7ft widths (at least based on my past limited research; but then again my studio area is large enough to accommodate the full 10.5ft/12.5ft width so there may be more options out there for 7ft backdrops now.
