Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this Q2 grip fit the new Q3 since I don't need wireless charging?

A: At this time Leica does not list the Leica Q2 Handgrip as compatible with the Q3.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Crane M3?

A: The Zhiyun Dual Handgrip for Crane/Crane-M Gimbals is only compatible with the Zhiyun Crane Plus gimbal.

Q: 3. What filter holder kit can be used with this lens?

A: Unfortunately, at this time, we have no filters or filter holders that are compatible for use with the Nikon PC NIKKOR 19mm f/4E ED lens.

Q: 4. How does one hold the gimbal ring with the grips? Do the grips hold the weight? Or does one hold the ring? And if one holds the ring, isn’t the grip too far off to control iris / focus while trying to carry the gimbal ring?

A: This is designed to handle the weight of the gimbal and you would hold the Nucleus Handles once attached.

Q: 5. There is a threaded hole on the vertical part of the grip...what is this for?

A: The threaded hole in the Leica Q2 Monochrom Handgrip accepts the Leica Finger Loop for Handgrip M (Medium) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/894863-REG/Leica_14647_Finger_Loop_For_Multi_Function.html

Q: 6. Will this work with the 2s model

A: We have to go with no, it will not fit. I would like to suggest you consider this newer idea: Zhiyun-Tech TransMount Mini Dual Handle BH #ZHGMBC71 • MFR #GMB-C71

Q: 7. Will this not also fit the Q2 ?

A: Leica Q2 Monochrom Handgrip BH #LEQ2HGM will also fit the Leica Q2.

Q: 8. Does the hand grip attached to the Leica Q2 fit into a Billingham 72 bag?

A: According to our data, a Leica Q2 with the Q2 Handgrip, should measure approximately in camera height 3.5", which is what Billingham has listed as their internal bag depth (which should be equal or less than 3.5", when positioning the camera into the bag as they picture - camera on its side, which would take the camera's height measurement for the bag's depth). We do not carry the Billingham 72 camera bag, but according to our data, the Leica Q2 with Q2 handgrip, should just fit, though it may be a tight fit.

Q: 9. Given the grip seems to cover the eyelet, is there any provision for the use of a hand strap rather than the finger loop?

A: Leica M11 Handgrip does not block the camera eyelet and the ability to connect hand straps. Leica Finger Loop for Handgrip provide a firm secure grip and Leica fashionable ergonomic style.

Q: 10. Is the attachment screw a "captive" type screw?

A: The screw on the Leica Q2 Handgrip is non removable and always remains attached to the grip.

I just used this lens in Bishop, Ca. I was out there shooting the fall colors. This is a fun lens with a great picture quality. I will be buying one when i get the money.

I got this lens on August 3, 2011 and had the chance to use it a few times. It is very good and highly recommend this. I have used it on a Canon 5D MKII and a Canon 7D. The 5D MKII allows the full circle. One thing to be careful of is the lens hood that you don't zoom too far out without removing it because you'll see it in the photo. I waited a long time for this lens to come out and glad I waited. The locking lens cap was a very good choice for Canon to use.

I'm a journalist but not a photo-journalist. I like to take my own photos. My childhood dream was get a fisheye lens because I would like to look sky and land with different viewpoint. Finally I bought EF 8-15 lens as my 34th birthday. Fortunately, before my visit at Grand Canyon. Thanks B and H, because they sended the lens in time. Unfortunately, it is really expensive. Except price issue, the lens is a perpect fisheye. I will publish my photos from Grand Canyon which are really sky and land together in one view. Thanks..

This is a great new lens! I have used it on both the 7D and 5d MK II....Great asset to your arsenal!! Have used it out on the water on my boat under bright skies and also at night to shoot auroras in AK!! I was hesitant to buy a fisheye bc I have never owned one before but glad I made the jump!!

The long wait was worth it. The previous fixed fisheye from Canon is a wonderful lens, and this zoom is even more useful. I usually use it with a full-frame Canon, which produces a full circle at 8mm and full-frame at 15mm, with varying coverage of the frame in between. Fisheye lenses in general require care in use so as not to include your feet or knees, or even on a tripod, tripod legs in the image. But more importantly, outside of the novelty of a fisheye...and the cliche shots of the Milky Way or fore-shortened noses, this fisheye can produce otherwise impossible shots, such as shooting a group of 30 people in an impossibly small space. The lens shade shows when used at 8mm, but it is easy-on-easy-off. A Limit Switch confines the image zoom to the range in which the shade is not visible.

This lense presents the world around us from a totaly different perspective and it is very sharp. I use it with canon 1D Mark IV.

Great lens. Not too heavy. Fast Autofocus. Built well. I've used it with both an APT C and APT H sensor. You can get great results without any dark corners. Color renditions are beautiful and accurate. Focus appears good across the entire frame. Focus down to 6.5 inches allows for some interesting shots.
