The LP-E17 USB-C Rechargeable Battery from Neewer is a replacement battery designed for select Canon cameras. The LP-E17 battery features a 950mAh capacity and provides 7.4V output power. Its USB-C input allows you to charge the battery with any USB adapter or power bank. A USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included for connecting to optional USB chargers. A full charge takes approximately 2.3 hours.

Compatible with Canon models that use LP-E17 batteries, including the R50, R8, RP, R10, R100, M6 Mark II, M3, M5, 77D, 200D, 250D, T6i, 750D, T6s, 760D, T7i, 800D, T8i, 850D, SL2, and SL3 models.

The battery offers protection against overcharging, short circuits, overheating, overcurrent, and overvoltage.

This battery is not fully decoded and works the same as the original. It is not compatible with the original camera charger and PD fast charging is not supported.

After trying a competing battery maker, and getting the run-around by its guaranteed replacement procedure, I have returned to buying only Canon authentic batteries. I have 8 batteries for 3 bodies using LP-E17, each batt I mark for date put into service. The 2 I am replacing now are 7 years old, their belt line, like mine, swelling and qualifying for retirement. To keep my battery and charger needs simple I hope Canon continues making bodies using this highly satisfactory LP-E17. 5

Made the mistake of going half-price on a battery that was supposed to fit my T7i ... and it didn't. You can ALWAYS count on B&H. Should have known to go there first. What was I thinking? 5

My Canon RP has one con. It is the size of the battery. I have been using this camera on a daily basis for better than a year now. I have never had to end a shoot because of a spent battery but I have been close a few times. Having an extra battery or two is just a little insurance just in case. I like the size and weight of my RP as is so a battery grip isn't an option. Experiencing Canon's reliability over the years plus B & H's reputation for giving you a genuine product you buy was a no-brainer for me. 5
