A: I have not tried to break this down for traveling purposes. When I travel I simply pack it in my suitcase between other clothes. I'm not sure that breaking it down would make much of a difference even if it could be. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Good luck with your decision

A: This Wimberly tripod is awesome! It is very smooth in any direction and can be set to stop dead and hold at any angle. Adjustments are quick and easy. The craftsmanship on the head is the best I have seen. I have owed mine for several months and used it from Alaska to the Carrabean and do not think there could be a better one out there. Erick

A: Yes, the RRS clamp works well with this gimbal.

A: Unfortunately, you can not attach a Pan Bar to a Gimbal Head. We will recommend using Fluid head for Video recording.

A: No. You need greater leg rigidity and a large mounting plate for the WH-200. Check out the Gitzo Systematic 3 Series for the appropriate tripod category. You may choose to accessorize with a leveling base but the WH-200 handles panning. A ballhead has, obviously, no role in this kind of rig.
