The black I2 Instrument Microphone, High Gain, with TA4F Connector for Shure MXW1 and MXW1/0=-Z11 Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and capturing detail in quieter instruments. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure MXW1 and MXW1/0=-Z11 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.

The hypercardioid polar pattern has a narrower pickup pattern in its front than the cardioid polar pattern. It offers better rejection of ambient noise and the working distance is about twice that of the omni polar pattern. The hypercardioid has a small “pickup lobe” directly behind the microphone and exhibits maximum rejection areas behind and to the sides (about 60 degrees away from the rear of the microphone on either side) of the mic. The hypercardioid pattern works best when the loudest unwanted sounds—like speakers—can be positioned in these nulls.

Q: 1. I want to take 1 picture a day for 6 month, would this product work?

A: It has all kinds of timer settings..check google for the product # and read the specs to see if its what you need.Sorry if thats not helpful..I can say it worked well for my needs and it still works.Good quality product IMO

Q: 2. can this be used to start & stop video recording? Canon T5i

A: This remote cannot be used for video.

Q: 3. Is there any advantage of buying a wired timer remote versus buying a wireless timer remote? Or vice versus? Is one really better than the other?

A: The wired remote always works the same cannot be said for the wireless plus I believe it uses up more battery in your camera. The always works is what I want and having a cable is not a big deal.

Q: 4. Hi, Can this Shutter work for videos on a Nikon D850?

A: You can , you will have to assign the shutter release to start stop video

Q: 5. Will this remote control multiple RX10 III cameras in video mode?

A: Its purpose is to control shutter release and off camera flash. As to controlling multiple cameras at the same time, I don't believe it will. I could be wrong tho. The manufacturer Vello and Sony would be better to ask.Sorry I could not be more helpful.

Q: 6. Hey Guys, I have a Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Nikon 10-Pin Connection), connected to a D700, I have also just purchased a Nikon GP-1A GPS Module, I am hoping to be able to use both devices simultaneously, but my problem is I have only the 1 10pin connector, is it possible to utilise the Vello RCC-N3 cable to connect the Shutter Boss Receiver to the GP-1A Im not sure what kind of plug the GP-1A uses, but the look to be about the same size? your feedback would be appreciated. Kind regards. Tony.

A: I use a GPS unit and they have a cable that splits the signal. I found that this splitter is available, but B&H won't let me mention other stores or links and B&H doesn't carry their products. If you research other GPS units for your camera you might stumble across this 10 pin Y splitter cable for Nikon .

Q: 7. does this work with a nikon d7500?

A: Yes this will work on the D7500.

Q: 8. Does this work with the sony a6300?

A: Yes this will work on your Sony A6300.

Q: 9. Can I use it with a remote shutter release cable connected to the camera (Canon 6D) without the transmitter ?

A: Yes. The receiver does not use the hot shoe, it can just sit there for stability. The receiver actually works through a cable to the side of the camera, which can be plugged into either the receiver, or the main transmitter.

Q: 10. Would the 10-pin work with analog cameras, let’s say with a Nikon F5? Anybody ever tried this?

A: We have not tested the Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Cameras with Nikon 10-Pin Connector with the Nikon F5, but since it works with the Nikon F6 and they both use the same remotes it should also work on the Nikon F5.
