The black I2 Instrument Microphone, Standard Gain, with 3-Pin XLR Connector for Lectrosonics UH200d, UH400, and UH400a Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been engineered from the ground up for natural on- and off-axis frequency response, low-noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls. This tiny instrument microphone can be used to capture audio in sound reinforcement applications for saxophone, violin, viola, cello, double bass, acoustic guitars, piano, brass, and percussion instruments.

The I2 instrument microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version offers a standard gain and is suitable for close miking and loud instruments like horns. It is supplied with a foam windscreen, a basic clip, and a carrying case. In addition, the 5' cable is permanently attached to the mic and terminates to a 3-Pin XLR connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics UH200d, UH400, and UH400a wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques can be aided by the various selection of instrument mounts (sold separately), which position securely and gently to strings, brass, and more.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning, and consistent patterns.

The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use it with a remote shutter release cable connected to the camera (Canon 6D) without the transmitter ?

A: Yes. The receiver does not use the hot shoe, it can just sit there for stability. The receiver actually works through a cable to the side of the camera, which can be plugged into either the receiver, or the main transmitter.

Q: 2. Will this remote start and stop video?

A: some cameras you can assign the shutter to start stop video , if your camera allows you to do that then you can use this remote to start/stop video

Q: 3. Once you start a interval sequence, can you adjust the camera settings between shots(on the camera itself)? Hoping to be able to use this for the Holy Grail time-lapse method on the Sony a6500. I ask because the play memories app does not allow you to change settings once the sequence starts...

A: Yes you can change the settings on the camera in between shots.

Q: 4. Does this work with the Cannon EOS M50?

A: Sorry I have the 5D mark lll

Q: 5. Hi, Can this Shutter work for videos on a Nikon D850?

A: You can , you will have to assign the shutter release to start stop video

Q: 6. Will this allow shutter speeds of less than one second? I want to do 5-7 auto exposure bracketing at a 2 stop interval on my canon rebel t6s, which has a native limit of 3 shots, but not long exposure shots, just simple flash-less interiors. Thank You.

A: The shortest delay with this device is one second.

Q: 7. Hey Guys, I have a Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Nikon 10-Pin Connection), connected to a D700, I have also just purchased a Nikon GP-1A GPS Module, I am hoping to be able to use both devices simultaneously, but my problem is I have only the 1 10pin connector, is it possible to utilise the Vello RCC-N3 cable to connect the Shutter Boss Receiver to the GP-1A Im not sure what kind of plug the GP-1A uses, but the look to be about the same size? your feedback would be appreciated. Kind regards. Tony.

A: I use a GPS unit and they have a cable that splits the signal. I found that this splitter is available, but B&H won't let me mention other stores or links and B&H doesn't carry their products. If you research other GPS units for your camera you might stumble across this 10 pin Y splitter cable for Nikon .

Q: 8. Will this work with the Pentax 645Z?

A: The Vello unit that was shown on your request has a sub mini connector that will not work on the 645z, you would need one with a regular USB connector. After I bought one of the hard wired cello units myself, I decided it would be better to have a radio frequency trigger control (more convenient in many situations)... so I suggested a similar unit like the Satechi USB controller which I like.

Q: 9. will this work with Canon M5?

A: This remote switch works with my Sony A7R II. I am not sure if it would work with Canon MS.

Q: 10. Does this work on a Canon T4i?

A: No , for Canon T4I you will need Vello ShutterBoss II Timer Remote Switch for Canon with Sub Mini Connection BH #VERCC12
