I ordered a full Lorex fusion NVR system to replace an Arlo system I have and the doorbell arrived first. After learning I could install and set up the doorbell stand-alone I did so and I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. The Arlo system relies on a hub and the signal is just not strong enough to get through my walls, which has resulted in very choppy and inconsistent performance. The Lorex, by comparison, is snappy and responsive out of the box. The image quality is great for 2k and the included micro SD card allows for local storage which is faster and no fees. Really nice product, can’t wait for the rest of the POE system to arrive. 5

I've had Lorex cameras for approx 6 yrs now & even though ive been very happy with them, the lorex door bell blows it away. Great product & it works, looks great. It does notify right away if there's motion, I wish the cameras were as fast! Im completely happy with this product & i've only had it approx 2wks now. 5

the doorbell works as desired. to share the doorbell alerts seems to be a little more complicated than the instructions imply. Otherwise, the installation and performance is great (one week into the installation). 5

As I'm writing this, I'm still extremely happy with the performance and video quality of the doorbell camera! You see, less than 24 hours after I had installed this doorbell, a neighbor had a truck ramming into her house, ending with, well, a "bang". The doorbells ability to capture crystal clear video and amazingly detailed audio caught not only each impact, but every word yelled by the defending individual. This camera not only makes me feel much safer (especially when bundled with the Lorex Fusion NVR, more on that in a moment), but it also helped my neighbor when the police conducted their investigation. Even the officers were impressed with the quality of the camera. Well designed, and elegant to boot! Now, the only flaw with this camera, is that extracting video footage from it can be a bit problematic. The doorbell will not record continuously, as the NVR does. Setting the doorbell up with the NVR was a bit tricky, but once I was able to figure out what device it is on my WiFi network, and use the username "admin" with the password given at setup, it all clicked home. Some direct-from-Lorex documentation would help in this situation greatly. Ease of use, other than that, is excellent. But it needs to be easier to extract the video in Avi or Mp4 formats (both came up as corrupt on multiple attempts). Even using the miniplayer to convert it through screen record didn't help. I had to supply the video in native Dav format with the player. My guess, is that audio confuses the transcoding a bit? Otherwise, 10/5 stars! Great product! Thank you Lorex!! 5

I used to have SimpliSafe doorbell camera. I wasn’t happy with quality and reliability of their cameras so I switched to this and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with the decision. No more monthly fees, quality and features are 10X better so is the reliability! 5
