A: If you use EF lenses with the adapter on the RP, you will not see any particular difference in handling or image quality as compared with your present EF mount camera. However, if you get a R camera you will in time want only RF lenses. That is because the mirrorless mount drops the legacy of having to make space for a flipping mirror. Ever since the 1930's Exakta became the first SLR 35mm camera, lens designers have been hampered by not being able to ideally place lenses in relationship with the image plane. This is particularly true with wide angle lenses whose rear elements want to be closer. So what do you get with the RF mount?
