Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the AJ-HPX3700?

A: Yes it can. The Panasonic 60GB F-Series P2 Memory Card, BH #PAAJP2E060FG, is compatible with the Panasonic AJ-HPX3700.

Q: 2. Is this monitor for video shooting only or can it be used for still shooting with Sony a7 series cameras as well?

A: In matching a monitor to a camera, the video connectors must be the same or a converter used, and the camera's video format must be one the monitor can read. The Lilliput can read most any popular camera format and reads the Sony a7 just fine.

Q: 3. Can I connect wirelessly to a trickster

A: I believe you mean can you wirelessly connect to a TriCaster production switcher. The answer is yes you can. There are several options available. Please email us so that we may best assist you in selecting the right option for you. provideo@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com./a

Q: 4. Can be connect in Laptop ??

A: This has an SDI output which can be connected to a capture device like the Magewell USB Capture SDI Gen 2, BH #MA32070. The Magewell product itself would then connect to a laptop through USB. https://bhpho.to/34VtE2h

Q: 5. Can you advise the specific range of the lens please ?

A: This package will include the XT17x4.5 BRM 17X Fujinon Lens.

Q: 6. I'm getting a time code on the screen (display screen and preview/program screen) when I go live on my on air application from the sdi out connection over an sdi cable. Why is this happening and how can I remove the time code from the on air live screen.

A: The AJ-PX380 has a few SDI connections and a very robust menu. You should be able to achieve a clean SDI output with this camera. It will just be a matter of setting up the camera properly. We'd like to invite you to email us directly at provideo@bhphoto.com that way we can better guide you in setting up this camera.

Q: 7. is there an internal digital zoom?

A: Yes, the Panasonic AJ-PX5100GJ P2 HDR AVC-ULTRA Camcorder with RTSP/RTMP Streaming has a internal Digital Zoom at 2X, 3X , & 4X digital zoom boost. See https://bhpho.to/aj-px5100gj-overview for details.

Q: 8. Is there a way to extend the range of the SDI cables to greater than 300' when used with the CCU? Could a re-clocker be used on each side (paying attention to direction of signal) to boost the signal to achieve distances of 500'?

A: The Datavideo VP-633 3G/HD/SD-SDI Repeater is a great option to consider, B&H #DAVP633. This offers re-clocking so you can send the signal up to an additional 328 feet. You will be able to achieve the distance needed with this device and pair of SDI cables that add up to 500 feet, such as B&H Numbers DACASDI30045 and CA56HSVB200.

Q: 9. is there a way to record audio to the same file as Video? Right now the audio is in a separate folder and has to be linked by editor. Makes transferring files manually from card for specific news stories impossible. The whole card has to be copied.

A: The Panasonic AJ-PX380 P2 HD AVC-Ultra Camcorder uses the AVC-ULTRA format. Be sure to have the latest AVC-ULTRA software installed in your computer.. Make sure that you follow the software's instructions for downloading. We suspect if you are dragging and dropping, you are leaving invisible software that syncs the video and audio.

Q: 10. Will this card (and the 60 GB version) work in a AG-HVX200A camera?

A: Yes, the HVX200 will accept this P2 card.

I'm using E-P1 for 16 months and add E-P2 since I'd like to try optional EVF. A capability to use VF-2 is the bigest difference to E-P1. Image quality of VF-2 is really awesome and therefore this is my best ever camera. Useability, build quality and styling is superb as E-P1.

As a person who loves taking pictures--GOOD pictures--but has no desire to go professional, I felt constrained by my pathetic Nikon point-and-shoot, but didn't want to invest thousands upon thousands of dollars in DSLRs that various friends of mine had purchased. This camera is the PERFECT in-between camera. It quickly takes clear, crisp, pictures with beautiful color. Even with just auto mode, I feel like I get what I want when I press the shutter button, whereas before I would have to fiddle around with settings upon settings to try and get something satisfactory. This camera also has fun art modes to give your picture cool effects--great for those of us who are more Picasa than CS5 :) In sum, this camera was exactly what I was looking for. I just want GREAT pictures on-the-go without spending a bundle. This camera delivers, but has so much other functionality that it enables (and challenges me) to expand my knowledge of photography without feeling like I have to throw down my life savings to do so. Plus, could you ask for a better, or more retro-chic travel camera?? I argue no! :) Happy shooting!

Not much to say... I love this... It works well and easy to use. Combined with a good lense (like Leica); great image quality. The viewfinder works great!

With the optional VF-2 electronic viewfinder this is a great compact camera, especially for one who wears glasses for reading. No more glasses on and off between the viewfinder and LCD display as with a DSLR. EVERY menu is available in the viewfinder! Simply adjust the VF-2 diopter and that's it. I am even considering selling my Canon 5DII in favor of this camera alone.

great camera but the E-p1 cost less and their is really no difference except a few more art filters in the E-P2

From the moment I first saw the ads for this E-P2 I had to have one. I used a Leica for years and always regretted letting it go. I could never rationalize buying a digital one, but the E-P2 is a great option. I like the feel and while the shooting process is different vs. the Leica, what isn't with digital, the camera system changes my eye when looking for shots and that is what I was after - a rangefinder or close facsimile. It is just more fun! The image quality is great! I would buy it again.

i am obsessed with this camera. i have taken the most wonderful photos of my family and of buildings, which were my two main goals. i am not a professional photographer so i think the effects are great. the camera is smaller than a dslr making it more convenient to carry but i do not think i am giving up quality for that luxury. i was choosing between this and the canon60d, i am confident i made the right decision after seeing how many succesful photos i already have.

This is a wonderful camera to own. I have it just for a week and completely sold by its convenience and capable of doing photography! I just love it. The most useful function I have test is under manual - I am coming from the Nikon side therefore I spend sometime learn how to use its universal dial control and finally got it going. My comes with a 14-42mm lens which equals to 28-84mm on 35mm camera. I especially appreciate its image stabilization functionalities and it works great. Another trick I learned from this lens is that there is a push button to shrink the lens to its lowest position. The video function is also wonderful with high resolution video recording at a touch. I am not sure I learned how the AEL button works. The only thing confused me was the low light noise - I did not know why but my camera showed a very noisy image captured starting ISO1600 all the way up. The image autofucus worked just like a charm in this environment but the image quality was not good due to the sparking noise all around. Handle feeling is great - the feeling tells that this is one of the pro thing indeed. It is almost not going to fit my pocket but it did - and I am thinking of designing a specific bag for it - since two of the bags from B&H did not meed my needs. Above all, I would definitely recommend it - once I figured out why the low light noise was an issue on my camera.

I have looked long and hard for a travel/everyday camera and this is it. I am a long time Pro user of Olympus gear and have hoped for this to be an iteration in the 4/3's line. The E-P2 evokes a feeling of confidence and nostalgia which I have not felt in quite a while. The camera bekons me to take it everywhere and shoot it at will. Pros: -Build quality is second to none in this price range. -Ergonomically the camera is perfect for me, even with largish hands it falls to hand very nicely -image quality is stupendous. I have alway been blown away by the E3 but this is even better.

I purchased the camera to use when traveling, I have found it to be very functional. It takes great shots, can be used in a variety of settings and is light to carry and easy to pack. It worked well under low light conditions and also in photographing fireworks using the pre-programmed settings. It does seem to use of its battery fairly quickly and is a little too much shutter lag, but its benefits far outweigh its cons. This is my first Olympus and I have been quite pleased.
