The Tiffen 2 x 3" 2 Plum Hard-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale purple coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 2 color density provides less plum coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 3" / 50.8 x 76.2mm.

Note: A vertical orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the short side of the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any chance of this product over heating? I plan to use it as storage, but I often run Finalcut ProX, and or Adobe Photoshop on devices intended for storage.

A: In the normal vertical position they get pretty warm. The ventilation in these hard plastic cases is not great and on long runs they will get toasty. I run them horizontally and use a small fan ($15) and run them for hours. They stay cool and never tip over. They are great drives and never seem to wear out!

Q: 2. Is there a USB-C cable in the box? I have a new laptop with only USB-C.

A: The WD 18TB My Book Desktop USB 3.0 External Hard Drive would require a USB-A to USB-C adapter. The USB 3.0 Cable supplied is Micro-B to USB-A.

Q: 3. Does using encryption affect performance?

A: It was once true that there was a performance penalty for drive encryption. Modern processors in computers are more than capable of handling the encryption without any discernible difference in performance.

Q: 4. Can you save to this drive at any time or does it only automatically save once a day to back up?

A: Content can be saved to the WD 6TB My Book Desktop USB 3.0 External Hard Drive at any time. You can set data back up frequency based on use case or need.

Q: 5. Can I reformat this to ExFat?

A: This drive comes formatted in Exfat. It can be reformatted to whatever format you want.

Q: 6. Can anyone tell me what the read/write speeds are for this hard drive (6tb)?

A: The manufacturer does not specify the speed of this drive. The internal drives can change based on manufacturer runs. Speed will vary on a number of factors.

Q: 7. shuckable?

A: If you are referring to being able to remove the drive from the enclosure, it is possible according to some online users who have successfully done so but we could not guarantee it since we are unable to verify this information and this will void the warranty on the drive. We do not recommend it.

Q: 8. If I order 2 hard drives can they be connected together?

A: These only have one data port. They can not be daisy chained. If you need a RAID solution it would be best to get a multiple bay enclosure.

Q: 9. will this work with my dish sling receiver ?

A: The device is only concerned whether it is hooked up to a PC or a Mac. You can then use it to back up data in your computer, however generated

Q: 10. How can I use this to backup my existing WD 8TB?

A: To backup an existing WD 8TB My Book Desktop USB 3.0 External Hard Drive you could plug both drives into your computer and copy all of the files on one drive to the other.
