The Pelican 1400 Case with Foam (Desert Tan) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant and corrosion-proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra-High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4mm) neoprene o-ring, and easy-open double throw latches that seal perfectly. It includes an automatic pressure equalization valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. It is carried by a folding molded handle.

Q: 1. HELLO 3 leg locking base for monopods (B&H BEVT2) is compatible with OBEN ACM 1400?

A: Sorry, no. There is only a rubber foot on the bottom of the ACM 1400. There is no method of attaching the base.

Q: 2. This is pretty inexpensive. Is it sturdy enough to use as a Walking Stick, and can you get replacements for the rubber cap on the bottom?

A: While it would be okay to walk around with with a camera on top, it is not meant to be used as a walking stick. Oben does not sell rubber caps for the bottom.

Q: 3. Would I be able to fit 2 Godox Ds300ii lights in this case?

A: This case is to small to fit two DS300II

Q: 4. Would this case protect monolights: particularly an Einstein 640? I'd like to use it for airline travel.

A: Robert i believe they are. I used them for my elinchroms and they were pretty dam tight. I believe the regular paddings that we have in our shoulder bags isnt as great to protect since they have enough space for items to move but when you do foam, you are able to cut exactly as the dimensions of your product. When i put my elinchroms in it, i kept it opened once and just banged it on the ground from my knee height and noticed that they didnt move a bit. Meanwhile i will also try to add in customer shots here on the same page so you could see how i placed the lights.

Q: 5. I've seen some photographers use these like an applebox. Can you stand on these without worry of damaging your gear? I check Pelican's site for any information and contacted them as well, but no information and response.

A: You could but not for long periods of time.

Q: 6. I neeed to switch the screw size to fit my Nikon D90. I am turning top disk counter clock wise per instructions but things aren't moving. I see on amazon there should be an Allen wrench in box, i didn't get one, is this needed to turn disk and change screw orientation?

A: Yes you need the Allen Wrench to unscrew the screws holding the base to the monopod first. Once you unscrew them turn it over(flip the sides) which has reverse screw size suitable for your camera. Then re-screw the base to the monopod. If the wrench was lost you will have to get one from a hardware store.

Q: 7. Will this fit well in the Nanuk 950?

A: No it will not fit. This is made specifically for the Pelican 1560.

Q: 8. Will this fit under airplane seats?

A: You cant put it under the seats , You must put it up with al the luggage , is too big for that , bye

Q: 9. Will this fit a Canon T-6 with a Tamron 18-400 lens or would it be to heavy for it?

A: The Canon T6 with the Tamron 18-140mm lens would definitely work well with this monopod.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with the Sony A7s?

A: As the Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod has both a 1/4 -20 & 3/8 -16 male tripod screw, and the Sony Alpha A7s Mirrorless Digital Camera uses the standard 1/4 -20 tripod socket. As such, yes, you would be able to use the Oben ACM-1400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod with the Sony Alpha A7s Mirrorless Digital Camera.
