A: It doesn't. The attachment is a rod of 5/8 diamter, about 3 3/4 free length. If you wish to fit the unit onto a standard tripod with a male adapter, you'll need an adapter with both ends female. It may be better to interpose a pivoting adapter. That way, you can match the angle of the frame to the angle of your light source. There may be different solutions that will work utilising the equipment that you already have. I hope that helps.
