Q: 1. Does this come with a cord to power the 2nd shooter from this battery?

A: Yes

Q: 2. Can anyone recommend a good case for this? The soft case mine came with is great but not for travel. Im looking for something as small as possible that will protect it. Pelican is my last resort as they are a little heavy...Cheers!

A: Kessler makes a couple of different cases that is on their website. One is pretty much a rebranded Pelican, and the other is a tube style case. The tube case is still about as much as the pelican and needs padding added to make a 3' slider secure. the one thin i would say about pelican that I am glad i purchased was because there was room for all my second shooter stuff, which I am thrilled i purchased. The pelican case has wheels too so it doesn't make it unbearable. the 1720 is what i ended up with.

Q: 3. With the Kessler Cine Shooter Roll Axis, do I also need the Heavy-Duty support module with it?

A: Yes, You will need the HD Support Module for the roll. It's a necessary piece for mounting the roll axis.

Q: 4. Can this head be controlled by the Kessler Oracle controller?

A: This head is controlled by the Kessler Crane Second Shooter, B&H # KESS1014. https://bhpho.to/2IUEOuT

Q: 5. Does this slider works with a manfrotto 501 head?

A: The Kessler Flat Mount Adapter gives you a 3/8 -16 stud on the cart of the CineSlider, so you can mount a flat mount head, like the 501.

Q: 6. Is it possible to export Motion Control data from the KOS app to bring it into AfterEffects for special FX camera tracking?

A: The Kessler Crane CineShooter Pan & Tilt Head offers data to be used with Dragonframe. It does not capture the data for any other software currently.

Q: 7. Is this pan head for Kessler sliders only? Can it be mounted on other equipment like jibs and tripods and operated in a live mode via the controller (to ensure smooth panning)?

A: This product is designed specifically to work with the Kessler Crane Second Shooter Motion Control system as a Pan Axis, which is designed to work with sliders. You may want to look in to something like the Bescor MP-101 if you are looking for a Motorized Pan and Tilt Head for a tripod or jib.https://bhpho.to/2qf8lUA

Q: 8. Has anyone used this center-mounted on a tripod? Was there much bowing at the ends of the slider track?

A: No, We have not been able to test the Kessler Crane CineSlider for bowing. Much of this depends on you payload weight on the slider and we suggest using support like the following. https://bhpho.to/3Jb6shE

Q: 9. How does this mount to the Kessler CineSlider? Does it come with the appropriate bolts?

A: You will need the Kessler Crane Flat Mount Adapter B&H # KECS1017

Q: 10. is this compatible with the 3 ft Kessler pocket dolly?

A: According to Kessler, you will need to order the 3ft Parallax for the Pocket Dolly. This item is special order from B&H. Please call, or email so that we can do that for you. This is an excellent, lightweight, small package battery system for the Second Shooter unit. I've purchased 4 direct from the Supplier, as International Shipping of Lithium Batteries is not something that B&H like to get involved in.

Noting that other reviewers have had charging-related issues. The instructions for charging are printed quite clearly on the underside of the charger block, but they are a little quirky. You turn the battery on first, then plug the charger into the battery, then you plug the charger into the wall. If you just plug the battery into a live charger, nothing will happen. Quirky, but not the end of the world.

Charge time is empty to full in about 3 hours cycle. One charge should last you for many multiaxis timelapse shoots (let's say 10 or so 700-photo lapses).

The magnetic attachment system is excellent - easy and very professional-looking.
