The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included 1mm Diameter Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. A: The Rode VideoMic Pro+ Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone is a much better quality mic all around than the original VideoMic Pro. We don't have any specific details regarding the shielding of the mic itself. It's also possible that the cable is picking up the RF, so you may want to test your mic or the VideoMic Pro+ with a high quality cable that you know is well shielded. Both microphones should work fine for your stated usage needs as long as the microphone is close enough to the keyboard and the gain volume is set correctly.
