We all have boxes and boxes of old prints we inherited from our families. Most of these images are usually stored in the attic or closet within old-fashioned cardboard boxes that are subject to degradation from humidity, water, and other elements. Archival Methods storage boxes are high-quality containers not only perfect for today's digital revolution but for preserving your older traditional prints.

With Archival Methods, your precious memories remain intact and are protected so you can safely pass them on to future generations.

Each storage box from Archival Methods has a metal edge, a removable top, and a hinged "drop front" panel at the long side. This allows you to open the bottom section and insert or remove contents to be examined safely, without bending or flexing them in any way. This reduces the risk of "dog-earing" or damaging your documents.

Metal edge clamps are corrosion treated with black polyester coating and have a wax-free polyester finish on the blind side for rigidity and high stacking strength.

Archival Methods boxes are manufactured from heavyweight archival-grade boxboard.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What's the difference between C+ and regular C Stand?

A: The main difference is that the C+ has a turtle base that can be detached.

Q: 2. Is there a black version of this stand?

A: Yes put a B in front of part number

Q: 3. How stable is it if I put a 27 inch monitor on the top? Do I need an extra weight bag or the size of the stand is not wide enoug

A: Yes, the Impact Folding Wheeled Base Stand (Black/Chrome-plated, 8.5') can accommodate a 27 inch monitor but products like the Impact Heavy-Duty Swivel Pin and Tether Tools Rock Solid VESA Local Monitor Mount for Stands and Tripods will be needed. It is best to put a shot bag or sand bag on the base to prevent tipping as well.

Q: 4. Has anyone been able to have hands-on experience with the Avenger vs Matthews C-stands? Is one better made than the other? I heard that the Matthews design has better grip on arms and knuckles? I'm trying to figure out which brand I would like to invest in for C-stands mini booms and combo stands

A: I have used both. I own about 12 Matthews stands and arms. I have used the Avenger Stands in rental studios many times. Some of my Matthews C Stands I bought in the early 1990s. They are used frequently and have traveled on location and used in the studio. They are still in great condition and still function like new. I prefer the stands with the removable base (turtle stand) becasue they are easier to store, travel and can be used as a low lighting background stand by just using a Pin. Avenger stands are very good but in my opinion the C Stands from Matthews are the best and stand up for years. Also the hollywood arms are strong and work even after many years of use. I have some in black for those occasions when you are photographing highly reflective objects so they don't show up in your shot. I hope this helps.

Q: 5. Are KUPO c stands compatible with Matthews? For example, could a Kupo gobo head attach to a Matthews baby pin or Matthews grip arm? Can you 'soldier' the stands next to each other (Matthews agains Kupo)? Looking to invest in a brand, and for the turtle base option I'd like, the Matthews is $50 more, and I like the quick release idea Kupo has. Is there any real con to investing in Kupo? I will be using these for film and video applications. Thanks!

A: Stick with Mathews or Avenger I worked at a rental house and those two are the only brand I saw they were easily 6 years old and two a beating in and out , in studio out on location in the sea in the pool in the sand . regular work horses , clean them and spray silicon and ready for the next rental

Q: 6. What do you suggest for holding monitor or tv with this stand ?

A: yes, the following item will support up to a 35 inch. but a bracket will be needed please look into the following https://bhpho.to/2VSVvOY HD baby swivel pin https://bhpho.to/3g7tYAe Highly suggest a proper tv stand for anything above 40inch tv.

Q: 7. What is the minimum height of this stand?

A: The minimum height of this stand is 42 inches.

Q: 8. What is the foot print diameter?

A: The Impact Folding Wheeled Base Stand has a footprint diameter of 29.5".

Q: 9. I own a set of Matthew's C Stands #756140 which I bought over 10 years ago. These stands have a base with a quick release pin for the legs. Do these stands also have a quick release pin? If not, does Matthew's still make a model with a quick release pin?

A: No we no longer make that version we found the quick release less reliable than the spring load style.

Q: 10. Regular sandbags on these legs touch the floor. Any recommendations? Thanks,

A: I've seen a type of sandbag that Velcros around a center column. Perhaps someone can point out the item code. Would that be strong enough for a large light frame/box leaning in one direction? In other words, is the center weight enough - and doesn't have to be on the wheel/arm opposite the direction it is leaning?
