Steven Biver has over twenty years of experience as a commercial photographer specializing in portraits, still life, photomontage, and digital manipulation.  He is also the co-author of FACES: Photography and The Art of Portraiture, another Focal Press publication.

Paul Fuqua has worked as an editorial and wildlife photographer for more than thirty-five years. He started his own production company in 1970 and is dedicated to teaching through the use of visuals.

A: Starting in September 2020 each set of Rogue Flash Gels was packaged to include 3x Rogue Gel Bands to attach the gels to a flash, including 2x Blue (standard size flashes) and 1x Gold (small flashes). The Blue Rogue Gel Band is sized for standard size flashes, including the Canon 430EX, Canon 580EX, Godox V860, Nikon SB 500, Nikon SB910, etc. The Gold Rogue Gel Band is sized for small mirrorless camera flashes, including the Godox TT350, Nissin i400, Nissin i40, etc. The Rogue Flash Gels will be larger than necessary to cover the face of the Godox TT350 flash, but they can be easily trimmed or creased as desired. Q: 6. Will the gel band fit a Nikon SB-400 which has a fairly small flash head?

A: Yes. The Rogue Photographic Design Rogue Gels Universal Lighting Filter Kit (Set of 20 Gels) will fit on the Nikon SB-400 Flash Head. You would use the smaller Gold Flexible Gel-Band for this flash.

Q: 7. Does the rubber band hold the gels tight around an Olympus FL-600R flash, or is the band to big for that flash?

A: The Olympus flash dimensions are very similar to my Canon 430 speed light on which I use this kit. On my Canon the rubber strap holds very very snugly so I feel confident it will hold snug on your flash as well.I really like this kit, believe you will too and as always, B&H has a wonderful return policy

Q: 8. Can these filters be used with the Gary Fong Collapsible Lightsphere or the Speed Snoot?

A: It is a good chance it will not fit well. The band that is used to hold the gel will prevent Gary Fong modifier from fitting correctly and securely.

Q: 9. can i use it for print matching?

A: This light would have a cooler color temperature than what is recommended for print matching, therefore it would not be as ideal to use it for this purpose. The GTI PDV-1e/SW Professional Desktop Viewer B&H # GTPDV1ESW would be a more suitable option if your prints are smaller.

Q: 10. Will these fit a Nikon SB-900?

A: This is a great kit. And yes it will fit.... The kit comes with a rubber band that that expands over the largest eat strobes and comes in a really nice envelope that divides the various colors... Another great feature is that each gel tells you the f differential so you have a starting point to correct your exposure
