These binoculars are light with bright images and amazing clarity. Incredibly light. At 120 yards I can see the inside of sunflowers clearly. Bought these for travel and will be perfect for auditorium events, bird watching and great scenery and wildlife while traveling when that time comes again.

I only began birding in February 2021 so I'm by no means a binocular pro, but I'm extremely impressed with these.

I've been happily using a set of Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 throughout the year, but wanted something a bit smaller and more compact to bring with me on non birding-only outings. Within half an hour of use this past weekend, I fell in love with these 8x32 Opticron Explorer WA ED-R and will probably wind up taking them on most outings, birding-only or not.

The wide field of view makes trying to spot warblers in substantial Northern Ontario thickets far easier than with the Nikons, and the optical quality was near perfect on a bright September morning. They also feel sturdy and comfortable in my hands, and are really just a joy to use.

I like the quick release on the (very comfortable) strap - it makes it easier to slide into a coat pocket depending on your outing - but though the case seems very well made, I don't think it's a perfect fit for the binoculars. It's truly my only complaint, though.

I was on the fence between these and the 8x32 Travellers, but after one use feel justified in my selection of the Explorers. I'm sure a more experienced birder would notice some differences and (depending on one's income) be able to justify the extra $150 USD - as mentioned in reviews on BirdForum - but for my purposes I couldn't be happier with these Explorers.

I'll definitely be returning to Opticron and B&H for future binocular needs.

Small and light, these binoculars fit easily into a camera bag or coat pocket. Good sharp images, though you have to hold any 10 X binoculars steadily.

I'm not going to compare these to 4-figure binoculars from Swarovski (which I've tried, as a guide had them) or Zeiss. I will compare them to comparably priced options and a more expensive (and not nearly as good) pair an REI clerk had recommended to my wife a couple of years ago: in that regard, these are great. Olympus simply has superb optics, even in their mid-range and lower-priced lenses, and it shows in these binoculars. You don't have all the features (nitrogen filled, etc.) of much more expensive binoculars, but they are clear and bright, easy to use, offer decent relief, and are not too heavy or bulky. I like them. At 99 bucks they are terrific.
