Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the difference between Bushnell Legacy WP and Bushnell H20Porro binoculars?

A: I asked the same when I was ordering the 8x42 binoculars to donate to the Environmental Education program a the Cloud Forest School in Monteverde Costa Rica. I ended up with the Legacy WP's . Although they seemed well made, they were too large, too heavy, and too hard to focus...not only to be used with K-11 students but also for me. B+H Photo was excellent about processing the return. I purchased the 8x25 compact H2O binocs instead.Just returned from delivering them to the Cloud Forest School where they are already being used with ease.

Q: 2. What is the lever on the side? Is that the focusing mechanism?

A: The lever on the Opticron 8x25 T4 Trailfinder WP Monocular (Black) BH #OP8X25T4TMB • MFR #30710 is for focusing.

Q: 3. What are the internal dimensions of the case?

A: The Opticron Ballistic Nylon Case for 50mm Roof Prism Binoculars is about 6.5x6x3 inches inside.

Q: 4. Conflicting information shown. Is this monocular Fog Proof or Fog Resistant?

A: Yes this model is Nitrogen-Filled, Water and Fogproof.

Q: 5. Hello, It looks to me like the binoculars are in use. What is his condition? Is it almost new or in good or average condition? Are there any pictures of him? I need clarification. Thank you.

A: The Steiner 7x50 Military/Marine Binoculars are new. All items are new unless specifically stated otherwise.

Q: 6. Do these come with a case, a strap and lens covers ?

A: Yes the Bushnell 7x50 H2O Porro Prism Binoculars come with a case, neck straps and lens caps.

Q: 7. Does the manufacturers warranty apply to used Bushnell 137500?

A: The Manufacturer Warranty does not apply for the Bushnell 7x50 Marine Binoculars with Compass (Blue) used model. The B&H used model is going to have a 30 day Used warranty that can be upgraded up to 3 years .

Q: 8. Is the compass visible in the dark/ at night?

A: Yes, that's what illuminated means.

Q: 9. I'm looking for a scope that can tell me the elevation (in degrees) of an object with respect to the horizon. Sorta like a sextant for navigation, but in a compact monocular or binocular system. Any ideas??? Thank you so much!!!

A: Unfortunately we don't have anything like that.

Q: 10. Will these work in the Southern Hemisphere ?

A: No and I forgot about that the _vertical_ component of the Earth's magnetic field tilts the disc/needle opposite ways in the North and South, so a weight is needed. With a normal compass you can sometimes tilt it to compensate, but with this you can't do that.I lost a huge chunk of cost savings getting it adjusted for Ausie...it cost me IIRC about $120+ at The Aust branch, with post.Nick

this binocular is better than expected. for the price of $ normally you can't expect a quality of Leica or Zeiss but a more or less sharp item.when I used this bin for the first time, I thought I would have taken the wrong one ( I own a bin from Zeiss too). I was so astonished from the sharpness and the truth of the color. since I take it always with me on my tours with the canoe. It does not fear rain or water and doesn't glide out of my fingers when wet. So you can say: optic first class (The Zeiss has a bit more contrast!)the mechanic is strong and smooth. the rubber of the eye caps is a bit hardand lets marks on your nose. In the description what is in the box you read only: the bins and the warranty, but you get more: two lids for the eye caps, two lids for the front lenses and a quite heavy duty pocket from Cordura which is not sensible of water either and a good broad neck strap.

Got these for my dad to replace his ancient ones that were missing screws and coming apart, but he still used them... He takes these on his boat and hikes and is very happy with them.

These binoculars give a tack-sharp view extending to the edge of the FOV. The extra-long eye relief makes it possible to wear thick eyeglasses (with twist up eyecups in any position) and still get the entire FOV. The image from these compares favorably with any of the binoculars that I have. If you are looking for a good 7x50 with long eye relief and sharp image quality, check these out.
