Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. As the lens cap is a slip on type, how to to get a replacement/spare rigid (not the op/tech soft type ?

A: There are no other hard lens caps for this lens at this time.

Q: 2. Does this transmit data to the camera?

A: The electronic contacts transfer all Exif data between the camera and lens in order to permit full use of camera functions, including focus magnification, image stabilization, and lens corrections.

Q: 3. Where is this lens made?

A: I contacted Voigtlander and they confirmed that all of their lenses are manufactured in Japan by Cosina.

Q: 4. When will this sense arrive ?

A: Please email us at photo@a href= http://bhphoto.com target= _blank bhphoto.com/a for assistance with your inquiry.

Q: 5. I see that Novoflex also makes an adapter M to Canon RF adapter. In your best estimation, would I get the full 10 mm out of this when matched up with the Canon R or R6? I know everything is manual from there, but I see some amazing architectural images shot with this lens.

A: The Novoflex Leica M Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera Adapter, B&H # NOEOSRLEM, would allow you to connect the Voigtlander Heliar-Hyper Wide 10mm f/5.6 Aspherical Lens to the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Digital Camera. There would be no effect to the lens' focal length when using the above lens adapter. As such, as the Voigtlander Heliar-Hyper Wide 10mm f/5.6 Aspherical Lens is designed for use on full-frame sensors, it would be a 10mm lens when used on the Canon EOS R Mirrorless Digital Camera or the Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Q: 6. Hi, any idea of the FOV on an a6300?

A: The A6300 is an APS-C which crop factor is 1.5 so it would be a 15mm lens. FOV well I have the SEL1635Z, SEL1018 and Vogtlander 10mm and 12mm and it is kinda like this hold your left and right hands out beside you and look straight ahead then pull them forward till you start to see them, I call it ear to ear. First this is the widest lens ever made second it will fit a Sony Full Frame camera when you can afford it (Which is less than anyone else) even if you went A7 what $400 more than the 6300. But if want wide and want to stay Sony look at the SEL1018 with AF and IS for you 15mm for me at FF 12mm clean and sharp every time a great walk around lens for a small camera and no coma when capturing the Milky Way and a zoomer also!!!!! A 15 to 27 for a APS-C the widest you can go to date! There are some fisheyes but too much Post Processing.

Q: 7. this lens work with Nikon?

A: The Voigtlander Heliar-Hyper Wide 10mm f/5.6 Aspherical Lens has a Leica M-Mount. It cannot be used on a Nikon camera.

Q: 8. Will this Lens mount properly on my Nikon Z6 and provide Infinity Focus if I use it with either a Vello or a Novoflex Lens Adapter designed for ‘M’ Mount to Nikon Z Mount? I don’t care about any lens automation so long as I can use Aperture Priority metering and use the Nikon Z Non CPU Menu setting to assign this lens to the camera with one of these Adapters.

A: yes the lens will work fine with the adapters.

Q: 9. Can I use this lens on a Lumix S1 with VM to L adapter?

A: This lens can be adapted to a Panasonic S1 with a Leica M to L adapter.

Q: 10. Does the lens come with an optical viewfinder?

A: No it does not ... I use live view on Leica 240 A most spectacular razor sharp lens .
