A: The DNP print media for their DS80 printers are not compatible with the Sony UP-DR80. We are not carrying any compatible print media for this Sony printer.

A: You can ONLY use 5x7 paper with the spacers and correct 5x7 dnp ds40 media/paper.... It CANNOT BE USED WITH DS40 6X8 MEDIA/PAPER

A: No this paper roll would not have a paper end caps on both sides.

Q: 9. I saw that the DS40 can print 2 4x6 prints from a single sheet of 6x8 paper. If you print an 8x10 on 8x12 paper on a DS80, will the DS80 cut the paper at 8x10 (wasting 2x8 of paper film), or will it print the whole 8x12 and require the owner to cut the 2x8 off manually?

A: You will need to cut the paper yourself.

Q: 10. I'm curious if this printer will work on transparency films (I'm looking to make small transparencies to by viewed under moderate magnification).

A: The DNP DS-40 cannot print on transparency films. This printer prints on specially designed paper for dye-sublimation (heat transfer) printing. The process would melt the transparency media. If you wish to print on transparency films, then an inkjet printer, such as the Canon PIXMA MG6420 Wireless Color All-in-One Inkjet Photo Printer B&H# CAMG6420 would be a better option.
