The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" CC10B Blue Filter is a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. It can be used to alter the color balance of a scene by placing in front of a light source or the lens of your camera. It can also be used to apply color corrections when used in the darkroom with an enlarger or to help pre-visualize color adjustments when viewing prints.

Blue is the opposite of yellow and can be used to reduce yellow tones or casts within a scene or print. This blue CC10 is more dense than a CC05 filter and less dense than a CC20 filter, and requires a 0.3 stop compensation for normal exposure results.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm lens capable of live Auto focus on BMPCC 4K video recording?

A: This lens will work with the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K's One Touch Auto Focus Feature. The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K does not offer continuous auto focus.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Nikon D3200? Image stabilization too?

A: Yes. This lens has an internal focus motor which is necessary in order to be compatible with the D3200. This lens has VC (Vibration Control). That is Tamron's version of stabilization.

Q: 3. Is this an internal zoom lens, or does it extend when increasing focal length?

A: The Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens extends when zooming.

Q: 4. I have a Panasonic GH3. What is a good micro four thirds lens for capturing sports video for indoor volleyball? I'd like to capture mid-shots, close-ups and wide. Thanks, Ef

A: This is a fine lens with a good zoom range for the price. The power zoom is a nice feature but you may find that you will out grow this lens quickly. When shooting and using the zoom, you need to shoot at f/5.6 else when you zoom wide, the image will get brighter. In addition, you may want a faster lens when shooting indoor sports.I moved quickly to the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens. It is fast, very sharp and with the conversion factor, it is a 80 to 300mm lens (perfect for sports). It also has a 1.4x teleconverter design just for it which turns your 300mm into a 420mm.

Q: 5. It will work with DJI X5S?

A: There are three issues to consider. (1) Balance. Since this lens and the Olympus 14-42 (the only X5 supported zoom) are about the same weight and have the same thread diameter, there is a good chance that the balance ring for the Olympus (a 37mm-23 gram) will work (2) Control of the power zoom from the DJI Go app. Since this lens has power zoom it seems like it should work, but it depends on the pin positions, and whether there is something within the DJI Go app that needs to be adjusted. (3) Power O.I.S. Nope, there is no reason to expect that this will work on the X5. So until someone is willing to test it, your long awaited answer is maybe, maybe not.

Q: 6. Has anyone used a remote control unit to zoom this lens?

A: Yes, you could use something along the lines of this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1344165-REG/libec_zc_lp_zoom_control_for_lanc_panasonic.html

Q: 7. Can you control the focus, zoom and iris with a remote, or through the ATEM software from Blackmagic?

A: Based on ATEM's website, it appears that if you have this lens mounted to the proper camera, with the switcher below, you should have full control over your IRIS, Zoom, and shutter speed. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/atemcameracontrolpanel

Q: 8. will this lens fit the d800?

A: Yes, but since it is a crop lens you will lose more than half your resolution using this lens. You would be better off using a full frame lens to take advantage of all the benefits of your full frame camera.

Q: 9. Is the lens par-aperture / parfocal?

A: No, only high end pro cine lenses are par focal.

Q: 10. Is this lens compatible with Nikon D5000?

A: This Tamron lens makes a model compatible with Nikon. Check with Tamron to be sure.
