A: Because of the stud size on this stand, you can't put a larger boom on it, like you could a C stand. I would just use a boom for very light duty, like a speed light with umbrella, or other perhaps a collapsible beauty dish. I use this setup with a 2.5 lb counter weight; and I remove the clamps. A: You can, but depending on what you've got on the stand it may tip over. These arn't industrial grade C-Stands. Use them for flags, reflectors, etc., not light.

A: Unfortunately, these stands can only stack with the same type of stand. For example, you could stack 3 1052BC stands together or 1051BAC stands together.
