Q: 1. How come this umbrella has 8mm and 7mm shafts while another Photek at the same size only has the 8mm shaft? I understand the shaft can be removed after the umbrella is set-up, but just don't understand why there are 2 sizes?

A: Some flash like Elinchrom require the smaller 7mm. 8mm is standard.

Q: 2. Would I need to buy the extension arm one additionally if I wanted to use this one with the RS3 Pro?

A: No, the Tilta Advanced Rear Operating Control Handle for DJI RS 3 Pro/RS 2 can mount directly to the NATO rails on the side of the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer.

Q: 3. Will this work with a strobe if I have a standard light stand with an umbrella clamp and hotshoe?

A: Yes, it should work just fine.

Q: 4. how deep is it?

A: The 60” SoftLighter umbrella is 14” deep.

Q: 5. Which diffuser set up is needed to use the Softlighter with a Godox AD200?

A: The softlighter comes with a diffusion panel. The AD200 has an umbrella shaft receiver as part of its stand mount. No 'diffusion set up' needed.

Q: 6. Will this work with Broncolor PulsoG head?

A: With the 7mm shaft installed, it can work with a Broncolor Pulso G head.

Q: 7. I want to emulate a huge soft window light. Is one 600ex-rt sufficient to power this 60 version or do I need multiple speedlites? If so, any recommended tri brackets? Thx!

A: I use one 430EX and it works great.

Q: 8. Will this work with an Elinchrom Style RX monolight? I read an old review from 2004 saying the shaft is actually less than 7 mm and does not stay secure in the Elinchrom 7 mm shaft tube. Maybe this newer version has addressed that issue. Anyone have experience using this umbrella with Elinchrom?

A: The Elinchrom Style RX monolights have a 7mm slot on just below the flash tube and an 8mm adapter where the stand adapter and the light would meet. That being said, this Photek Softlighter Umbrella with the 7mm and 8mm shafts is compatible.

Q: 9. How do you put this on a Photoflex StarFlash 300?

A: The Photek Softlighter would insert into the umbrella slot just above the stand mount of the Photoflex StarFlash 300 and the included sock would fit over the reflector.

Q: 10. What shaft size is good for profoto proheads and D1/D2 monos?

A: If you're referring to the post thickness go 8mm. If you're referring to the size of the modifier, that's your call depending on what you're shooting and the look you're going for
