Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. IF I HAVE A D3400 WITH KIT LENSES WILL THOSE LENSES FIT A D750?

A: Yes, they will a mount. However, any wide angle DX lenses will be cropped by the camera sensor. If this is not done, there will be severe vignetting the wider you go.

Q: 2. What is the life expectancy of a digital camera in terms of # of pictures taken? My Nikon D7000 has taken over 13,000. I'm planning a vacation, that will likely involve a lot of photos, and don't want to be concerned that the camera will fail because of the shutter snaps.

A: The average digital cameras currently produced have shutter actuations that are typically in the hundreds of thousands.

Q: 3. Is it fully functional with high speed UHS-II SD cards or is it UHS-I ?

A: Purchase the fastest card you can get. This camera works with all SDHC cards. The faster cards will empty the cache faster and give more shots per sequence. I shoot professionally, underwater and topside animals. I would not think of using slower cards.

Q: 4. How many shutter count "clicks", does Nikon guarranty for the D750, before changing the Shutter?

A: According to Nikon, the average shutter lifespan for a D750 has been tested up to 150,000 clicks.

Q: 5. Does the D750 have a OLPF or not? I have a D800 and highly regret not buying the D800e. The OLPF does cause a significant loss of detail on long shot tele subjects.

A: I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION. IF YOU ARE GOING TO B&H THERE IS A GENTLEMAN BY THE NAME 'GERRY' THAT IS AT THE NIKON KIOSK. HE TYPICALLY KNOWS THE INS AND OUTS OF EVERY NIKON CAMERA.

Q: 6. Thanks so much for the quick responses to my live view questions. I can now move away from my PANIC mode! I'm new at manual settings and thought something was defective in my camera.?

A: In most case you can. But this may depend on the platform. Which platform (Windows/MacOS/IOS/Android/...) you are asking about?

Q: 7. My Nikon D750 has performed flawlessly during the time I've had it. I'm pretty sure the internal battery has died. I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to replace it? Any help would be appreciated.

A: The internal clock battery is not user-serviceable.

Q: 8. Can I substitute 28-300 for the 24-120?

A: There are two ways to answer this question. Will B&H change their kit offering, and substitute the 28-300 for the 24-120. That is a question for a B&H sales rep. However, given that the D750 with the 24-120 lens is a kit put together by Nikon, and comes in a single box with both the camera and lens in the same box, I doubt that B&H can change the default kit configuration. The second answer is which lens would I choose if I were starting again. I did purchase the D750 with the 24-120 lens, loved it, but I really wanted the 28-300. So I then purchased the 28-300 and now that 28-300 stays on my camera all the time. If I were to do this again, I would most likely just purchase the D750 body with the 28-300 lens. A D750 with a 28-300 is a little more than the Nikon kit price, I would end up with the Camera and Lens that I actually use 85% of the time. And you did not ask, but I find the D750 as a AWESOME camera. Love my D750.

Q: 9. WITH A D750 I CAN USE THE SIGMA 17-50mm f2/8 EX DC OS HSM Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR ?

A: One of the great things about Nikon is that they try their best not to leave the photographer high and dry. To that end, their full frame digital cameras like the D750 can take DX/APS-C lenses like the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Lens for Nikon F B&H # SI175028NI. Of course, in order for that to work, the camera electronically adjust or "crops" the sensor to accept the smaller image made by the lens. If it did not, you would get severe vignetting or black around the edges. However, we would be remiss if we didn't say that we do not recommend this combination. Doing this negates the camera far too much. The correct lens would be the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR Lens B&H # NI247028VR. Yes, expensive but it will give you everything this fine camera can produce. If this lens is not possible at this time, then consider this everything lens that is full frame. Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens B&H # NI28300GAF. A friend of mine is a magazine editor who shoots across the nation and this is his only lens.

Q: 10. Does the D750 accept a protective monitor cover?

A: Yes. Not the snap-off-snap-on type Nikon included on some of their earlier models, but there are a number of choices. See some below: B&H # EXSKKZGWGV3W B&H # VEGSPUND800 B&H # GILSPND600
