very fast! gives my landscaping photography great depth

Perfect for photographing landscapes....

Very sharp images. Use this lens for taking photos at car shows and I couldn't ask for better pictures. A little heavy but not so much that it can't be held still.

The Canon EF-S 10-22mm is an excellent wide-angle zoom lens that gives impressive shots in both day and low light conditions as well as the artificial light at night on e.g. Times Square. Also good for photos of art and paintings, when visiting shops and restaurants, architecture and landscapes. My preferred travel kit is the 10-22mm in combination with the 18-200 lens, and the Canon 60D.

I wish I had this thing long ago. Excellent clarity and ease of use. Very minimal distortion. It's just what I was looking for.

I originally bought this lens to use for a specific project for taking indoors pictures of rooms in houses for some friends, but quickly realized its potential for portraiture as well! Now this lens is in my standard kit for all portraits and weddings, too. It's very unique and isn't used often for those reasons, which is why I love it! Allows me to get creative!

I absolutely love this lens! It's a great lens especially for my first ultra-wide angle lens! It focuses accurately and captures amazing shots.

My current lens is a 55-17 zoom (on an APS-C sensor) so I wanted something a little wider without the distortion. I looked at two lens, the Sigma 8-16 and this one from Canon, the 10-22.� Neither had a technical review at DP Review so it was a hard decision to make, I went with the Canon, it is a bit lighter (I am an decrepit old man) and it overlaps with the 55-17 I have.� The Sigma will not take any filters due to the curvature of the front element, the Canon will, but there will be some vignetting.� I have a Cokin filter holder I use for square filters (ND gradients etc) and although you can attach it, the vignetting is quite severe.�

The lens works really well, at 10 mm there is very little distortion, and it seems very sharp.� I do landscapes and I am not sure how much I will use this lens, it takes in a lot, so composition is more difficult, but so far it has been a lot of fun.�

The lens does not have any image stabilization but I can get along without it, since I work mostly from a tripod.�

Over all, I am happy with the lens, I think it works great, and of course B&H is a great place to buy stuff, they have a knowledgeable staff always willing to help.

sharp lens,i use it on my 7d and it takes great video,good solid build quality-you get what you pay for.
