Q: 1. For over a year now I have jumped around in the I want this model Nikon ... a few months later,,, this model ... a few more months etc... but nowwww at least this week :) lol Since I dont have any Nikon Lenses at all,,, I am really considering the D610 and the world of FX lenses that go with the FX cam world.... I know the D750 is the hot new cam,,, and it has some issues,,,, just as the D600 has had its big issue... As much as I would maybe like to go to the D750... It is a bit out of my $$$ reach... and yes I feel it is really all about the glass that photographers have said for decades... body's come and go,, but good glass is the heart of the matter so to speak... as a side note... when it comes to the cam body,,, I am pretty much all about new and not gray/market cams....So I can pretty much bet it will be B&H :)Any feed back I will totally enjoy reading,,, and go from there...? Thanks

A: I have been using the 610 body since October 2013. I have had zero issues with the body and am very happy with my first experience with an FX camera. You are correct in that the glass is the most important factor when creating images. It took me several years to understand that but since then I have purchased several of the pro lenses. The 85 1.4 G, 70-200 2.8 G, 14-24 2.8 G, 50 1.4 G. I will be getting the 24 1.4 G if they offer it this March for the rebates. Those lenses have taken my photos to another level. The 610 body is something that I will stay with until something major comes along. I've had no issue with it at all other than good results. I shoot portraits I shoot a little bit of sports and many photos of my son doing a little bit of everything, The camera has nailed the photos pretty much every time. Any failures or deletable photos have been caused by me. I am certain that you will be happy with this body. And as always B&H is my only source for everything Nikon. Hopefully this helps you. Coupled with many positive reviews on that particular body I think you will be convinced to purchase it.

Q: 2. Why Nikon D610 is more expenseive than D750? Thanks.

A: Right now the D750 has a mfr rebate on it, which brings the price down below the D610. The D780 replaces the D750, Nikon is trying to move inventory of the D750 to clean out their stock.

Q: 3. Which lens works more efficiently with the 610: 28-300 or 70-300 ? And why?

A: I owned a D610 for a while but traded up to a D750. The 28-300mm works well with both cameras. The D610's controls were more intuitive while the D750 has required more attention to the manual. I have no experience with the 70-300mm lens. It's really a matter of your needs. I think a lens in the 28-70mm range is very useful. By the way, I've found that the difference between 200mm and 300mm is very slight.

Q: 4. Does the D610 with 28-300mm lens bundle include a battery? Asks if we want an additional battery, not sure if it comes with the camera. Just 1 battery not an additional second battery. Thanks!

A: I ordered the same kit a while back. It did come with a battery. As others have stated, the battery life is great although an extra is always recommended. It's a great kit and you won't be disappointed!

Q: 5. Here's the problem, I'm shooting water fowl with my long lens, trying to get that perfect shot when all a sudden the other birds in the area think I'm interesting and start walking closer to me, and block a clear view of what I am shooting far away. In your expert advice how do I shoo away unwanted birds but not scare away the ones I want within 20-25 ft of camera?

A: - ... take their picture instead, or, ask them politely to step aside. If that doesn't work, roll a joint and blow the exhaled smoke in their direction. In about 10-15 minutes they will all be very relaxed and leave you alone.

Q: 6. does the user's manual included with the D610 DSLR CAMERA with 28-300 LENS ?

A: Yes. User manual is included. Great camera.

Q: 7. How fast can the camera write to SD cards? I am trying to purchase some new SD cards, as we all know the speeds for new SD cards can be very fast. If the camera won't see a speed increase in clearing the buffer than it isn't of any value to buy the fastest cards. Does anyone know what the fastest write speed the camera is capable of, so that I can match that to the SD cards that I purchase for it?

A: Nikon recommends using memory cards with a speed of Class 6 or higher for the Nikon D610. For the fastest, most optimal performance, the SanDisk Extreme http://bhpho.to/1yddubG, SanDisk Extreme Pro http://bhpho.to/1adnrIS, and Lexar Professional http://bhpho.to/1klPr2c SD cards will be your top choices.

Q: 8. does d610 work in all countries outside the USA ?

A: As long as your camera has battery power, the Nikon D610 DSLR camera will work anywhere, regardless the country or continent.

Q: 9. Is this refurbished camera?

A: No, it is brand new from Nikon.

Q: 10. The bundle picture shows an SD card and camera bag yet that is not in the description. Are they included in the price?Thank you.

A: Yes, a Nikon camera bag and 32GB SDHC memory card are included in the box with the Nikon D610.
