A: Hi Suzanne,I've used the lightstand with the Joe McNally 24 softbox and a canon 600ex speedlight. That said, while the stand didn't have any issues holding it, one thing to note is to orientate the legs so that you have a one leg facing directly forward. This will assist in preventing it from toppling over as it can be a little front heavy. Alternatively (and this is what I would recommend) use a sandbag weight. There is a hook for it but I simply laid it over one of the leg stands as they can be placed flat with the floor.
