The Tiffen 86mm CC50M Magenta Filter is a color compensating (or color correction) filter for use when making color balance adjustments. It can be used to alter the color balance of a scene by placing in front of a light source or the lens of your camera. It can also be used to apply color corrections when used in the darkroom with an enlarger or to help pre-visualize color adjustments when viewing prints.
Magenta is the opposite of green and can be used to reduce green tones or casts within a scene or print. This magenta CC50 is more dense than a CC40 filter and less dense than a CC70 filter, and requires a 0.6 stop compensation for normal exposure results.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.

Q: 1. Will this lens attached to a canon 70D shoot video? I have a 18-270 lens and I always get the lens not attached error when I try and use it to do video.
A: Yes it is fully compatible with the Canon 70D.
Q: 2. who made this lens?
A: This lens was manufactured by Tamron, but is compatible with Canon APS-C crop sensor bodies.
Q: 3. How do the Tamron 16-300 mm and 18-400 mm lenses compare for sharpness, CA, etc?
A: The 18-400mm has the greater reach however it has CA. The 16-300mm has less reach but less CA plus macro and is much wider with 16mm. I would consider the 16-300mm myself.
Q: 4. Will this lens work on a Nikon D60 and Nikon D5300? Any problems with focusing?
A: Yes, it does. As a matter of fact, I have this lens on a Nikon D5300 and I love it.
Q: 5. Does this Tamron 16-300mm + Viltrox EF-Nex iii adapter work well for recording video on Sony A6000?
A: The Tamron 16-300VC-PZD is a great walk-around lens for Canon or Nikon APS-crop bodies. You can hang it around your neck for hours at a time and you're ready for everything from bugs and flowers to elephants and cityscapes. You're even ready to copy pages out of somebody's photo album. It may not be the widest, or longest, or fastest, or quickest-focusing lens in your bag. But when you don't know what you'll encounter -- and you don't want to carry the bag -- this is the lens you'll reach for. (Tamron service is great when you drop it off a table, too.) Somebody else will have to tell you how well it works with a Viltrox adapter on a Sony, though. I've never tried that.
Q: 6. Will this lens auto focus with Nikon D3300?
A: The Tamron 16-300mm lens for Nikon will be fully compatible with the D3300, including autofocus.
Q: 7. In the overview description it talks about an optional 2X teleconverter. Which one is it?
A: Panasonic has not yet released a compatible teleconverter for the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f/4-6.3 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens.
Q: 8. i am gonna buy nikon d7200 so i need all in one telephoto lens needed sp which lens produce better sharpness and image quality ?Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD vs AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR
A: Based on my years of experience using Tamron lens (and I do own more than a few), I would highly recommend choosing the Tamron lens. However, do not confuse this as saying Tamron is better than Nikon, I don't have the scientific testing gear to make that statement. I am only going to explain why I would choose the Tamron 16-300.#1 The Tamron 16-300 is priced less than the Nikon. Meaning YOU can use that saved money for other needed gear.#2 The Tamron 16-300 is capable of macro focus. I was amazed and impressed by the results I got from using the lens in that function.#3 The Tamron 16-300 weighs less than the Nikon lens. That makes a big difference when shooting all day.#4 The Tamron 16-300 gives you 2mm wider than the Nikon lens. Trust me, saves me from having to switch to another lens and possibly miss that shot.#5 The Tamron 16-300 Vibration Compensation works as expected and has saved many photos I would not have been able to capture without it.Here's a tip to help you get more sharpness from your photos. Follow these steps on your Nikon camera. Press the menu button, go to and enter Shooting Menu, go to and enter Optimize Image, go to and enter Custom, Go to and enter Image Sharpening, Select ?0 Normal .That selection will increase sharpness to each image, on a consistent basis (vs AUTO) without making your images look unrealistically too sharp .I hope this information helps you out. I think you will be more than happy with the Tamron 16-300 lens. Ultimately though, the final decision is yours. Best of luck.
Q: 9. Will it work with my Nikon D600?
A: According to Tamron lens specs and Nikon camera specs this lens is not compatible with the D600 due to the large (full frame) image sensor. Sorry.
Q: 10. Will this work on the Nikon D80?
A: Yes, this lens is fully functional with the Nikon D80.
