Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The 12mm essentially converts to a 24mm on the BMDP 4K camera, is that correct? is there added distortion or vignetting?

A: The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K has a 1.9x Crop Factor. A 12mm will be around a 23mm after the Crop Factor.

Q: 2. What is the thread size for filters?

A: 77mm

Q: 3. Does this lens have image stabilization?

A: No, The Meike Meike 12mm T2.2 Manual Focus Wide Angle Cinema Lens does not have built in optical lens stabilization.

Q: 4. will this work on a7iii and is there any issues being an APS-C format? I believe the a7iii has a crop of 1.01. What does that mean when using this lens?

A: The Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 AF Compact Ultra Wide-Angle Lens for Sony E-Mount will work on the Sony Alpha a7 III, but it is not recommended. This is an APS-C lens and so will only be using the center part of your camera sensor. This sensor would not cover the Full Frame sensor of that camera. This lens would be used in APS-C crop mode with a 1.5 crop.

Q: 5. Hello, What is the warranty of this lens?

A: This lens comes with a Limited 1-Year Warranty from the Manufacturer.

Q: 6. Will this mount on a Black Magic 4K?

A: Yes, they are both micro four thirds mount.

Q: 7. Would focus peaking work with this lens on the GH4?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 8. How does the size and weight compare to the original non-AF version that I own? Is it optically equivalent?

A: The Rokinon 12mm f/2 AF Lens is lighter at 7.5 oz versus 9.17 oz on the Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS Lens. Also, the AF version would be better optically.

Q: 9. Will the MFT-mount version cover the Super35 sensor of the Zcam?

A: no this will not cover the s35 sensor at 16mm. from 25mm up, these Meike lenses will cover s35mm

Q: 10. Does it have a filter thread?

A: Yes, I do not personally have a filter for it, but I see threads and the manual says filter size 77mm. Hope this helps.Best, John
