A: we have a mix of new and older Elinchrom units - so far it works with all flash heads we have - however is good to read the specs published by the manufacturer to make sure of compatibility required. We love to be able to do remote adjustments for power.

Q: 5. I have a Bogen 3205 will this fit?

A: I'm not sure if the Bogen top plate has a 1/4-20 or 3/8 screw. The based of the Super Pro Head is 3/8 . If your tripod is 1/4-20, you can add a bushing to convert it to 3/8 . However, if what you're mounting on the Super Pro Head is truly heavy, like a 600/4, you are going to put a lot of strain on that 1/4-20 screw. So it depends on what you're going to use the Super Pro Head for.

Q: 6. what is the difference between the 8.5x21 Papilio and the 8.5x21 Papilio II?

A: So there are really small differences. The specifications are almost identical. The newer model has added more coatings on the lenses. Also has added aspherical optical elements offer edge-to-edge image sharpness.

Q: 7. so this would be a good scanner for 12' X 12" scrapbook pages with photos ?

A: Yes this scanner would be fine for scrapbooks.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the ATOMOS calibrate software?

A: This device does work with the ATOMOS calibrate software! Tested myself on my NINJA V monitor and it worked flawlessly. Funny enough, contacting Atomos support did not help me (they were also unsure if this device would work and referred me to using either the Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro or ColorChecker Display Plus). I just risked it for the biscuit and it paid off haha. Now spreading the word to as many people as possible since I couldn't find anyone that had tested this.

Q: 9. Can I use it to tilt 90 degrees UP ?(I use telescopes not cameras)

A: In the normal position, you cannot. However if you mount it backwards and have the tilt control pointing directly away from you, you will be able to point straight up. The gear handle will now just be on the far side of your head, pointing away from you. Although maybe slightly awkward at first, it would be something you would quickly get used to and it would be fully functional.

Q: 10. How does this attach to a light stand? Do I need a special attachment?

A: The Elinchrom EL-Skyport Receiver Plus has a 1/4 -20 female tripod socket on the bottom of the hot shoe on the receiver. If your light stand has a male 1/4 -20 screw on the top of the stud on the light stand, then it should work for your usage needs. If not, I would recommend the Impact Deluxe Umbrella Mount with Adjustable Shoe, B&H # IMDUBAS, for your usage needs. This would give you the advantage to be able to tilt the receiver (and any flash mounted on the receiver) up and down, and has both a hot shoe and a 1/4 -20 male thread as attachment options for the Elinchrom receiver.
