The Cavision Rod Support with Riser and 8" Rods is a tripod mount, baseplate-type support for cameras up to 10 lb. It has a camera riser on the rear and a matte box bracket in front, both adjustable so you can fine-tune the height of the camera and lens. A camera plate is included as well.

Both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mount threads are available on the bottom, allowing compatibility with all tripod heads. The baseplate and matte box bracket are both adjustable along the rods when you loosen dedicated levers. The rear riser is adjustable 2.3" horizontally and 1.5" vertically, and the matte box bracket is height adjustable 1".

A: Unfortunately, no, the Impact Sliding Arm Support with Hand Grip is not compatible for use with the Impact Deluxe Varipole Support System. It is only compatible for use with the Impact Column Stand. The Impact Column Stand has a uniform tubing diameter of 1.38” (35mm), while the Autopoles and Varipoles have a larger tubing diameter of (bottom) 1.77” (45.4mm) & (top) - 1.58” (40mm). They are not compatible or interchangeable with one another.

A: There are 3 1/4 inch and 3 3/8 inch threaded attachment positions. The front lens support can be positioned directly over each of them. The front lens support is on a sliding arm that can be reversed to shorten the distance from the camera base.

A: I use this to hang quilts to be photographed or shown in a shop. One quilt hung for 3 months, and the bar did not sag at all.

A: Sorry, no it's not. The Westcott Background Support System #9014 crossbar is made up of 3 pieces of tubing which you can see at the fjwestcott dot com website.With all three pieces of the crossbar used the width is 10.5ft, but the width at the stand bases (tripods) is 12.5ft. So, it definitely won't fit in your room.With only two pieces of the crossbar used the width is reduced to 7ft. Total width at the stand bases would be 9ft. This would fit in your room. Keep in mind that you would be limited to 7 ft wide backdrops, which is ok if you use Canvas as there are many to choose from. But with Muslin & Fabric, and Seamless Paper backdrops there are few options in 7ft widths (at least based on my past limited research; but then again my studio area is large enough to accommodate the full 10.5ft/12.5ft width so there may be more options out there for 7ft backdrops now. Q: 8. I just received this product and it does not match the photographs. Specifically, the nut that screws onto the top of the stand to hold the rod in is not the the one shown with the black plastic handle, but rather a cheap small little wing nut with no washer. Did I receive the wrong product? Also, the holes in the pole at either end won't fit over the top of the stand as in the picture. Why not?

A: The Impact Sliding Arm Support with Hand Grip will not fit the column on a Matthews C-Stand.
