The Gefen Inc. VGA-AUDIO-141 VGA & Audio Extender is a transmitter and matching receiver kit that allows a user to separate computer components up to 150' (46 m)—far beyond the reach of standard desktop cables.

It uses inexpensive and common CAT5 network cable to connect the sender and receiver over great distances. It supports HD video and does not degrade the resolution during transmission.

Sample applications include broadcast or security installations where a computer needs to be in a remote and/or secure location away from the displays.
