Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Sony RX100 VI. The EVF is usable but small. I'm trying to compare the EVF on the A7C with my camera but don't see direct comparison of sizes?

A: Both possess a 0.39" (measured diagonally) EVF with 0.59x magnification and the same resolution. In other words, they are seemingly identical.

Q: 2. does it have more image quality than sony a6400?

A: Yes. The following unit will offer better quality then the APS-C exmor CMOS sensor the 6500 has to offer.

Q: 3. will this be able to hold one matthews triple baby riser jr and a matthews C- stand with boom arm ?

A: I use this case for the Manfrotto Satcker stands...I forget what length of stand the case can hold but the specs are on the B&H site.

Q: 4. What's the continuous shooting speed when shooting uncompressed raw?

A: You can shoot up to 45 uncompressed RAW files at 10 FPS.

Q: 5. Does the A7C have a built in intervalometer?

A: Hi, the camera does have built in Interval Shooting Function. Please follow the link for more info : https://helpguide.sony.net/ilc/2020/v1/en/contents/TP0002053238.html?search=time%20lapse

Q: 6. is this possible to change white balance while recording?

A: Unfortunately, no, you cannot manually adjust the white balance in the middle of video recording.

Q: 7. Is it possible to record on the card in the camera while at the same time running an hdmi cable to a monitor?

A: Yes. After testing it for myself to confirm, the Sony A7C can record while outputting to an external monitor with some caveats. Firstly, in 4K it is limited to 24p and will disable the LCD when recording in 30p. Secondly, you have to make sure "HDMI Info. Display" (in the HDMI settings page in your camera menu) is set to OFF.

Q: 8. can you program shutter button half-press to hold exposure?

A: According to Sony, the A7C does offer Auto Exposure Lock where you half-press the shutter button to hold the exposure. This can be turned on in the Camera Settings 1 menu.

Q: 9. Will a future firmware upgrade bring the new touch screen menu system (like a7S III) to the a7c?

A: No, the Sony a7C Mirrorless Camera is not expected to get the new touch menu system. That menu is only currently possible on cameras that have the newer BIONZ XR processor, the a7C has the older BIONZ X processor.

Q: 10. Where was it make in? China?

A: At the time of pre-order status, Sony has not released any information to us regarding the country of origin on this camera. Please stay tuned for updates as they come about.
