This is a very rugged case, which can be used for everyday field work, but will also withstand the rigors of extensive travel and shipping. It has a quick-release wooden maple handle with a padded grip that makes for very comfortable hand carrying, and backpacking shoulder straps for hands-free carrying.

There are four long interior hanging pockets and four exterior zippered pockets. Interior tie downs and cushioning provide secure protection for the valuable equipment. The backpack shoulder straps and the maple carrying handle hide away in their own zippered compartments.

Q: 1. Is this okay for long-exposure photography?

A: Yes, it holds well my Nikon D7100 with 70-300mm lens. It would work within the weight limit listed in specs..Thanks!

Q: 2. Can this be used with Fuji XT-1 with 100-400 lens attached? Total weight is somewhere above 5 #'s

A: I think it would be fine as long as you do not extend the center post.

Q: 3. Will this fit the Sigma 100-400 for Canon mount?

A: This will not fit the Canon 100-400.

Q: 4. What is the thread size on the foot?

A: The thread on the foot bottom is 1/4-20".

Q: 5. can someone post a picture of the ts-111 properly attached to a sigma100 --400m lens?

A: Hi Randall! Unfortunately this accessory isn't compatible with the Sigma 100-400mm.

Q: 6. Does it works with Sigma 120-300 f2.8 sports? Since they no longer have TS-51 on sell, is this TA-71 the upgrade version?

A: No, the following tripod collar is designed and made for the following lens Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary

Q: 7. Will this tripod adapt to a pan/tilt head for use with slider? I have a Canon 80D and want to do some home documentary-style video.

A: You can, but it is not a stable enough tripod to put a slider onto. Try the next size up https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892889-REG target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892889-REG/a

Q: 8. What is "FAST CAMERA ROTATION" mean?

A: Sigma TS-71 Tripod Collar for 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Comtemporary Lens has a locking knob for fast camera rotation which means you can quickly rotate the camera from a horizontal to vertical orientation which is often needed to properly frame the subject.

Q: 9. I know the description specifically calls out the 105mm f/1.4, but is there any chance this fits the 150-600mm Contemporary zoom Sigma makes?

A: Unfortunately, it will not fit.

Q: 10. Is there a tension adjustment on the ball locking knob?

A: Not a pro so I am not sure exactly what you are asking, but it sounds like you want to know if you can adjust the locking knob so that the ball can be rotated with a little bit of force. The answer is yes, but it is a bit finicky and you will find better tension control on higher end tripods. The main feature of this tripod is its portability. Easy to stuff into my carry on luggage and it is still lightweight.
