The capsule is highly resistant to moisture, making it a suitable solution for outdoor use, placement against skin, etc.

Clear audio reproduction with low rubbing and handling noise is a result of the EMW's omnidirectional polar pattern. The flat frequency response is well suited for capturing instruments and general vocals in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures, and much more.

The EMW lavalier microphone is available in three frequency response types. This version features a flat response for capturing vocals, various instruments, and ambiance.

The square EMW lavalier is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin, allowing you to select the version that is best suited for your application.

The attached cable is made of durable, break-resistant Kevlar for rigorous use without shorts or wear.

The EMW is credited with providing pristine audio with minimal handling and rubbing noise, due to its omnidirectional polar pattern.

This square, moisture-resistant capsule is ideal for use in humid conditions, on skin, outdoors, etc.

Q: 1. I want to buy this tripod and use this with the medium sliderplus pro and a canon 5d & 24-70 lens. If I remove the head and place the slider on the tripod, then attach the head on the sliderplus pro, will the slider bend at the ends???

A: The Sliderplus Pro are designed to be use the way you described. In fact, there is no other way for it to work. Therefore, it will work without bending.

Q: 2. does this head use real fluid capsules or just friction disks?

A: Tilt Drag fluid cartridge with fixed dragPan Drag fluid cartridge with fixed drag

Q: 3. will the baseplate of a crane 2s fit?

A: Yes the Crane 2s uses a Manfrotto compatible plate.

Q: 4. Does anyone know if you can store this head with the head fully tilted (and locked) to fit in a bag? Or will that somehow wear out the spring ?

A: I've been storing it like this for 2,5 years and the spring is all fine

Q: 5. can you detach the head by screwing it off?

A: Yes

Q: 6. Will the tripod legs extend out horizontally? Looking to get the base all the way down to the ground for low angle shots.

A: I can get the legs out so they sit almost completely flat on the ground--perhaps 1 or 2 degrees above 90 degrees, with the center column then bringing the top of the head plate to 16.5 above the ground.

Q: 7. I am just new to this. For video, why would you use this against the ball type 500A version? I've read that ball types are better since you can level things faster. Thanks

A: Actually, both of these heads are the same, the difference is that the MVH500A includes the Half Ball. On that head, you can remove the Half Ball and what you're left with is two pieces, the head and half ball. On the B&H site, you can even purchase the Half Ball separately and attach it to a flat plate head to convert it to a ball head. The reason you would choose either of these heads would depend on your Tripod's legs. if the legs have a bowl, then you can use the ball head (because the ball would fit into the bowl to allow you to level quickly). But if your legs only have a flat plate, then you need the head without the ball, so you would get something like this MVH500AH.If you haven't made a purchase yet, and are wanting a ball head, then you should look for a complete tripod (head and legs) system that supports the ball head. As far as which is better, I would say that they both have specific usages, and both come in handy when you need them to. For everyday usage, it would be personal preference on which you think is better, I have both types.Hope this helps!

Q: 8. Can somebody tell me which bar handle fits to this. I need extra one?

A: The Manfrotto 500HLV Pan Bar Handle for Select Video Heads, B&H # MA500HLV, is the proper pan bar for this tripod head. https://bhpho.to/2XlXib9

Q: 9. Is the MVH500AH compatible with the 357PLV plate?

A: No it is not. The Manfrotto MVH500AH requires the 500PLong plate. There are Compatibility Charts available that may be helpful to you if you do a search. Links are not allowed here or I would add one. The 500PLong plates are relatively inexpensive. I purchased an additional one which stays attached to my 70mm-200mm f/2.8. I use Arc Swiss Compatible plates on the other one for the camera body when used with all other lenses that do not have tripod mounts.

Q: 10. will this fluid head work on extremely cold weather like -10 or lower? have anybody tried?

A: The operating temperature is -4 to 140°F. At -10 it will be too cold to use this head.
