Q: 5. Is there any downside (other than price) for getting a higher payload head like the Aktiv8, but using it mostly with low weight cameras? I want to get a higher payload head just in case I need to use it for a heavy camera rig, but if it is going to make low weight rigs less optimal to use, maybe it’s not the best approach.
A: No. Other than price, there really are no downsides, as this head is rated for 0 to 26.5 lb / 0 to 12 kg.
