A: Scanners like the Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner are not ideal for any kind of texture--the extremely shallow depth of field doesn't show texture well.

A: I've loaded negatives and positive transparencies on my Epson V600scanner without using the masking templates and after some experimentation, achieved excellent results.

A: The FRAME RATE is controlled by your video capture software. If you are using the "Logitech Capture" application you may access the Frame Rate and other settings such as the zoom rate by clicking the three lines in the upper left corner for the "Logitech Capture" application screen on your PC. Other video capture applications will have their own settings and you can readily GOOGLE frame rate instructions for your selected video capture applications.

A: The scanner is designed to scan 35mm film: 12 negatives or 4 slides at once with built in film holders. You can not add more holders to it. You would want to step up to the Epson V700 model Includes four film holders for 35mm slides (12 frames), 35mm film strips (24 frames).
