This Avenger F830 Junior to Baby Swivel Pin adds articulation to your stand or boom. One end slips onto a male 5/8" pin while the other supports a light or accessory with a 5/8" receiver. The ball joint allows 180° swivel of the fixture, while the large handle provides secure locking in the chosen position. The barrel at the receiver end measures 1 1/8". Removing the tightening knob from it allows you to drop it into a 1 1/8" receiver.

A: Manfrotto makes cups that you can attach a ball head to.

Q: 5. What is the length of the 5/8th spigot? I need to know if it will get a bite from my grip head before purchasing.

A: The stud section on the Pump Cup is three inches. And is standard and should fit most grips.

Q: 6. Does this fit common light stand stud/spigot or is this for C-stand stud ?

A: This fits a 16mm stud, which is what a C-stand has, as well as any baby stand with a 16mm stud.

Q: 7. What is the distance between the two sets of mounting holes? Would these work with the rear mounting points of the Genelec 8010 speakers by chance?

A: The distance between the holes in the horizontal position is 4 inches. As for distance between the holes on the vertical end, the top hole distance is 1 1/2" while the bottom hole distance is 2 3/4". Unfortunately, this plate hasn't been tested with the Genelec 8010 speaker to our knowledge, so your results may vary.

A: No. The following unit will not adapt to a hex spigot.

A: The swivel can be removed, but it may be difficult to re-install it.

I use this with a super clamp to better control the orientation of a strobe. Build quality is amazing. It has that feel that you get from well engineered products. Very sturdy, large easy to grip controls. When tightened, this is not going to move on you. 5

Finding a swivel with a spigot isn't as easy as it seems. Got the F830 knowing it was overkill for the lighting I tend to use; have ended up using it for so much more because this thing is strong. Perfectly confident using the F830 as the joint for a fixed camera platform. Originally had thought I received a defective product because the spigot spun when the ball was locked off. But with a quick response from the staff here at B&H telling me this should not be so, I got out an allen key and pipe wrench and tightened it all up. Though it's heavy (1.6lbs) I will be getting a couple more... 5

Bought to make mounting and positioning strobes on boom easier. It provides more flexibility than a basic drop pin for roughly the same price. 5
