But in this case it's best to stay with what you have right now. You're 18 to 135 mm STM is about two times sharper than a Tamron I keep the same lens as you have which is 18 to 135 STM on the camera most of the time. The Tamron's macro is OK however the only way the macros going to work is if you have it on a tripod. In the final analysis stay with what you have in both cases they are sharper than the Tamron.

A: actually use this lens on a sony, needed to replace a 18-250 lens. good walk around lens, super sharpness was not a requirement, just zoom range. if i need the sharpness i switch to a prime lens, 85mm or 135mm works very well depending how much room you have to work.
