A: It could. You would have to purchase a 4/3rds to micro 4/3rds mount adapter. The Olympus Four Thirds Adapter MMF-2 is the piece you need. I don't know if there is similar adapter supplied by Panasonic. Note, I used this to attach an Olympus E-PL6 camera back to a Meade EXT-90 telescope. There was a problem with this. The telescope was configured for a 35mm film camera. I had to machine down the short extension tube n order to barely get the digital camera into the end of the telescope's focus range.

A: It does neither. If you are using 35mm lenses with an M42 mount they will crop according to the crop factor of the sensor of the camera you are fitting them to with this adapter. I used this adapter together with a Metabones Canon - Sony E-mount adapter too. No change in focal length other than the sensor crop factor. There is no F-stop change either. Hope this helps!

I have used with an old M42 Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens. The only thing I couldn't get to work was magnification of the image for focusing. But if focusing wide open you don't need this as the EVF is good enough. If this is important get a Leica M to TL adapter and then add a M42 to Leica M adapter. The camera recognises the Leica branded M adapter and enables magnification. Downside is you have to buy two adapters.
