Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this connector work to connect a Countryman Lavalier mic that has a 3 pin XLR connector to connect it to a Sennheiser G2 or G3 wireless lav transmitter?

A: This would not work with a Countryman wired xlr since that specific mic would need 48v phantom power to run, which the Sennheiser transmitter will not provide. It would be recommended to purchase a Countryman mic wired for Sennheiser instead: BH #COB3W4BSR.

Q: 2. Is this wired properly to feed a line level to the Alexa Mini audio in?

A: This cable is designed for timecode use only and for connection to smartphones.

Q: 3. Can this cable provide Tentacle sync to a Red?

A: I do not believe this cable will work. While we do not sell the Tentacle System, I was able to find this diagram on their website that shows cabling going from the Tentacle to a RED camera. RED cameras have a 4 Pin LEMO, not 5 Pin.http://bit.ly/2hI7TYMWe do have B&H #RECAZERXEPIC, which is a TRS 3.5mm to 4 Pin Lemo. This cable may work, but you really will want to consult directly with Tentacle for their opinion on the matter first.

Q: 4. Does this work with Tentacle Sync TRACK E ( BH #TETRACKE )?

A: It is recommended to use Locking 3.5mm TRS cables with the Tentacle TRACK E.

Q: 5. Does this work with the AUX 2-pin LEMO on DSMC2 cameras?

A: Unfortunately, there is no way for us to test this, not any manufacturer we could ask. That being said, if the jack on the particular RED camera is 2-pin, it probably will work. Do not use without checking the polarity first. And as a last reminder, such use is unsupported meaning if anything goes wrong, the manufacturers with not repair under warranty.

Q: 6. Does this adapter have electrical connections for use with mics on transmitters or is it purely physical?

A: The Remote Audio Lav Snake LEMO Adapter is not used for electrical connections. It is used together with the Remote Audio Lav Snake (B&H # RELAVSNAKE), which is a tool to make it easier to feed a lavalier microphone through clothing in order to hide the mic cable. The LEMO Adapter attaches to the connector on the Lav Snake, then the red tip on the Lav Snake slips through clothing to guide the mic cable, then the mic is disconnected from the LEMO Adapter once the mic is in place.

Q: 7. Is this cable ideal for connecting a mirrorless camera such as a GH4 -- with its dedicated mic input -- to a recorder such as the Tascam DR-60dmkII -- with its dedicated camera outputs -- or will any standard 3.5mm stereo mini cable do? I want to achieve the cleanest possible signal between camera and recorder. Any advice or recommendation is appreciated.

A: The Tascam DR-60dmkII features a dedicated camera mic level output. Any standard 3.5mm cable will suffice to get clean audio from the recorder to the camera.

Q: 8. Can I use this with to provide phantom power to two sets of Sennheiser MZA 900 P and Sennheiser ME 3 EW from the powered 3.5mm mic port on a Zoom H4n?

A: These cables will not pass phantom power reliably. They are designed for audio signal only.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the mini LF?

A: No, the Mini LF has a 6-pin LEMO port.

Q: 10. Does this cable match the ZAXCOM pin out?

A: The pin-out configuration is not published.
