The Tiffen 3 x 4" 2 Coral Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 2 color density provides less coral coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 3 x 4" / 76.2 x 101.6mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Provides a natural-looking warming effect to select areas of the image.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this lens work with the Nikon 5200?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the D5200 image sensor (DX) size. Great all-around lens.

Q: 2. with a Nikon D300 will this lense work automaticly with a tamaron 2x teleconverter or is it better with the Nikon 2X teleconverter

A: Unfortunately, the Tamron 16-300mm lens is not compatible with a teleconverter. Lenses that have a wide angle have a lens construction where the rear element sticks out far more than lenses that have a 50mm or longer focal length. For this reason, lenses that have focal lengths wider than 50mm are not typically compatible with teleconverters. Even if you could fit one on the back of the lens, you would risk seriously damaging the rear element of the lens and the teleconverter itself.

Q: 3. To attach Tamron 16-300mm lens to Canon 70D should I align the red attachment mark on the lens barret with the red dot or the white square mark on the camera ? Thanks

A: To attach the Tamron 16-300mm lens to the the 70D, you want to align the lens attachment mark to the white square.

Q: 4. Are lens profiles available in Photoshop or Lightroom?

A: Per the Adobe Lens Profile Support List, the lens was added in Lightroom 5.5 and Camera Raw 8.5

Q: 5. HI, will this work with a 6D?

A: No, this lens is not compatible with full-frame DSLRs. It is only compatible with DSLRs with the APS-C sized sensors.

Q: 6. is it for Nikon d7200?

A: I use it with my D5500 but this lens should fit all Nikon DSLR camera bodies. This lens is compatible with Nikon F mountings your camera is compatible with F (FX) and Nikon F (DX). Also I used it with my Nikon D7000. The is a great all purpose lens that reduces having to change lens.

Q: 7. Will this work on the Nikon D80?

A: Yes, this lens is fully functional with the Nikon D80.

Q: 8. How do the Tamron 16-300 mm and 18-400 mm lenses compare for sharpness, CA, etc?

A: The 18-400mm has the greater reach however it has CA. The 16-300mm has less reach but less CA plus macro and is much wider with 16mm. I would consider the 16-300mm myself.

Q: 9. I already have and am happy with the Tamron 18-270mm. Why upgrade?

A: If I had the Tamron 18-270 Nikon already, I wouldn't upgrade. There isn't that much difference in the two.

Q: 10. I recently purchased a Nikon Z fc from B&H. Will I get full the functionality of this lens with my Z fc by adding a Nikon FTZ adapter? Thank you.

A: While the Tamron 16-300 is not made anymore so we cannot test it, technically it should work on your camera when using the FTZ adapter.
