Q: 1. Can you get a profoto gel on with this softbox? I have a rapidbox octa and it's very hard to work a gel on.

A: I don't think so, I don't see How

Q: 2. Does this plate fold with the octa box or does it need to be removed to pack?

A: The plate must be removed before foldiung up the Rapidbox but it easy to do and fits nicely in the storage bag.

Q: 3. Will 2 Profoto A1's work with this...

A: This product is just the plate (I think), they'll likely work with the Rapid Box Duo but you'll have to get your ruler out and maybe contact Westcott. I can say however it's a top shelf piece of kit.

Q: 4. I am planning to pair the camera with the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm f/1.7 ASPH. Lens. Will the LANC control and/or the Ethernet software have the ability to Zoom the lens or will a gear motor be necessary?

A: The BGH1 can remotely control Micro 4/3 Power Zoom lenses through the app or IP. Unfortunately the Panasonic Leica 10-25mm lens does not have power zoom. Here is a list of lenses that support LANC control for the Panasonic BGH1: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/Mirrorless-Camera-Lenses/ci/17912/N/4196380428?filters=fct_lens-mount_3442%3Amicro-four-thirds%2Cfct_zooms-primes_5903%3Azoom-lenses&searchWithin=power

Q: 5. Do you know if the Photogenic Grid for Softbox (12 x 36") BH #PHVF1236SB would fit? The dimensions are the same and the price is a fraction...

A: Grids are manufacturer specific and not cross compatible.

Q: 6. Can it output Rtsp through Ethernet or WiFi like the Jvc ls300

A: A future firmware update will support IP streaming over wired ethernet (RTP/RTSP).

Q: 7. Are any westcott switch strips compatible with continuous lights?

A: The Westcott Rapid Box Switch Strip Softbox 1 x 2 and other versions fit many types of lights. The Westcott Switch has inserts that make it work with other lights. The link for those is, https://bhpho.to/3P9UFW6. Note, it is heat rated to withstand up to 300w of constant light.

Q: 8. Do you still need an adapter mount for Westcott's FJ200s?

A: Yes to attach the Westcott Rapid Box Switch Strip Softbox 1 x 4 to the Westcott FJ200 you need this insert, https://bhpho.to/3Z4Ou81 .

Q: 9. Hi team, I was just wondering what flash zoom would work better with deflector plate? Wide ie 24mm or something like 100mm, for better flash power output and filling up the whole rapid box with light. Thank you

A: The longer zoom setting is best. I actually put the plate on the other way so the dished part faces forward as it is more reflective and smooth. I did not check with meter but it would seem to help. The light output is soft and even either way. Cheers.

Q: 10. If the camera doesn't support NDI, then what is the benefit or purpose of having an ethernet connection? Is the ethernet connection only for tethering?

A: The LAN port allows you to sync with other networked BGH1 cameras, manage the camera settings and functions, and can be used for IP streaming with a future firmware update.
