The Tiffen 5 x 6" 2 Plum Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale purple coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 2 color density provides less plum coloration than the 3 density, but more than the 1 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 5 x 6" / 127 x 152.4mm.

Note: A horizontal orientation filter's line of transition runs parallel to the long side of the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with D90and also what it means when it say (reproduction ratio is 1:2.9)

A: Yes, that is compatible with the Nikon D90.Lenses have a ratio for magnification. Most prime macro lenses are 1:1 and that is about the best for a macro lens. Zoom lenses that are also Macro lenses usually do not have that magnification like the lens you are referring to which is 1:2.9. Meaning you cannot get life size shots with this lens depending on the size of the subject.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Nikon D3000?

A: Yes, the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 is compatible with the Nikon D3000.

Q: 3. Will this work well with the Nikon d500? Is it full frame?

A: Yes, this lens is designed for use with DX sized sensor cameras like the Nikon D500.

Q: 4. does this lens have lens creep?

A: I've been using this lens for over a year and have never had an issue with lens creep. This is a great all in one lens that I highly recommend!

Q: 5. is this compatible to nikon d200?

A: The Tamron 16-300mm lens for Nikon will be compatible with the D200, yes.

Q: 6. good for sports?

A: The Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Nikon autofocus is too slow sports photography.

Q: 7. Is there a zoom controller that would work with this lens on a tripod?

A: No zoom controller is compatible with the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f/4-6.3 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens on a tripod. This is because it is not a servo-motorized zoom lens.

Q: 8. does this lens work with canon 5d mark iii?

A: No, the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon is not compatible for use with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera. The Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera has a full-frame sensor, while the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon is designed for cameras that use the smaller EF-S sensor. Attempting to use the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon on the Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera runs the risk of damaging the rear lens element on the lens, the reflexing lens inside the camera, or both, and is not recommended.

Q: 9. Does this Tamron 16-300mm + Viltrox EF-Nex iii adapter work well for recording video on Sony A6000?

A: The Tamron 16-300VC-PZD is a great walk-around lens for Canon or Nikon APS-crop bodies. You can hang it around your neck for hours at a time and you're ready for everything from bugs and flowers to elephants and cityscapes. You're even ready to copy pages out of somebody's photo album. It may not be the widest, or longest, or fastest, or quickest-focusing lens in your bag. But when you don't know what you'll encounter -- and you don't want to carry the bag -- this is the lens you'll reach for. (Tamron service is great when you drop it off a table, too.) Somebody else will have to tell you how well it works with a Viltrox adapter on a Sony, though. I've never tried that.

Q: 10. Has anyone actually used this lens on a Canon 70D to shoot video and if so, does it work? I have a Tamron 28-300 that will not work for video and I don't want to buy another unless I know it works.

A: I haven't used my Tamron 16-300 VC on my Canon 70D. For video I use the STM lenses.
