The Heliopan 60mm Linear Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A linear polarizer differs from a circular polarizer in that it does not supports use of a camera's autofocus or auto exposure functions; it is best suited for use with manual cameras, such as view cameras, that are not dependent on internal mechanisms to determine focus or metering settings.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Strongest effect when used at a 90° from the sun.

Single coatings on both the front and rear offer protection to the glass and help to improve light transmission and image quality.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 2. Is this compatible whit the canon T100 serie?

Q: 3. Will this work with a canon 5D mark 4

A: It will mount and focus without issue.

Q: 4. What's the minimum focus distance at 60mm?

A: Minimum Focus Distance is 5.91" / 15 cm

Q: 5. Hello there, I own a Nikon Z 6 and this lens looks like a nice for a macro on a budget setup. The question i have is how will it behave on a full frame body since it's designed for DX cropped sensors. Any sample images?

A: On the Z6, you can choose FX (default) or DX image area. If you use this lens with the FX image area, you will have vignetting (dark shadows in each corner) in each image; if you choose DX image area, the images will look normal.

Q: 6. How do I use this with my Nikon D90?

A: Unfortunately, this lens is for micro-four-thirds cameras and not useable on a D90.

Q: 7. Is this lense is suitable for Z6? Using in a dx modebwill affect picture quality?

A: This lens would better suit the Z50 or even a Z7. Since it's a DX lens, on a Z6/Z6ii you would get half the resolution (so about 10-12mp). On a Z50 you would get the full 20 mp, and a Z7/Z7ii still would have plenty of resolution. In short, it's not optimal for a Z6/Z6ii. The image quality will be quite lower than you're used to but it can work depending on your needs.

Q: 8. Made in China?

A: As per our records, the country of origin for the Yongnuo YN 60mm f/2 MF Lens for Canon EF is China. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Q: 9. can I use it with my canon 70d?

A: This lens is designed for use with Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras--it's not compatible with Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras.

Q: 10. Is this a manual focus only lens or is there auto focus with the Canon EOS-R camera?

A: This is a manual focus and aperture lens. You will need to control both the focus and aperture on the lens.
