With your camera attached to the quick-release plate, it easily snaps and locks into place on the ball head and is quickly removed by pressing the locking lever. A safety lock on the lever prevents your QR plate and camera from accidental release.

A: Weigh your camera with your heavest lens at your local supermarket and read the Specs/heighlights on the B&H site and see. Why ask before you read the info. Almost all DSLR APS-C weight less tha 1.5K and most regular lenses and zooms weigh less. So a tri-pod that take 5 Lbs or more is good enough for Anything you may have.

A: My experience with this tripod is that it is not very stable when you extend the stem. This might not matter in studio conditions, but it might outdoors. Just a caution.
