The Pelican 1447 Top Loader 1440 Case with Office Divider (Black) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical-resistant and corrosion-proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra-high Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It includes a 0.25" (6.4mm) neoprene o-ring, ABS latches that seal perfectly, and an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. A: Not in my experience. I have been using this case for about a year to carry around my underwater photography equipment, and everything fits in there pretty snug so there's a lot of contact between the equipment and the foam. I have never noticed any shredding or small particles of the foam falling off, and I have never even once had any of it stuck to my gear, not even when I put something away slightly wet. The foam is pretty easy to customize and seems very durable!

I would not hesitate to purchase it again. The wheels on the explorer are questionable. The Pelican had stood the test of time.
