Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do you need a lens plate to attach this to an Area compatible tripod mount and if so, would a plate used on the EF 600 mm F4 lens work?

A: Yes, you'll need to attach a lens plate to the foot in order for it to mount to a tripod head. If you have a standard long lens plate for your EF 600mm f/4, it will also function well on the RF version. :)

Q: 2. Does this product come with international warranty or warranty for Americas?

A: The Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens includes a Canon USA-only warranty.

Q: 3. I knew focusing on this lens would be noisy but my copy continually hunts focus. Is this normal or should I try another copy?

A: Doing a controlled focus test is the best way to determine what might be causing the lens to hunt for focus.

Q: 4. How do I take this on an airplane?

A: The case that comes with the Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens is about 19 x 10 x 7 inches, so it qualifies for most airlines' carry-on luggage rules.

Q: 5. do you have to put a macro lens on the front to make it work or can I use a 50MM non macro lens and get at least 1 to 1?

A: Correct you can use on the FotodioX Macro Bellows for Canon RF a non macro lens to get a macro shot. To control the aperture with that the lens needs to be a manual lens with an aperture ring.

Q: 6. Any news on when it is approximately expected on b&h? Also the 85mm f2?

A: Unfortunately, we currently do not have a set ETA from the manufacturer on either product.

Q: 7. Why would someone purchase a lense of this size??? It's a novice question but I honestly dont know why?

A: The big plus to a lens like this is the aperture. This lens can reach a really far distance and has a wide (for this focal length) aperture of f/4. A lot of people use this for sports or wildlife shooting. You're able to get the shot with enough light so you don't have turn up your ISO or sacrifice your shutter speed.

Q: 8. Does it have new optics compared to the EF version II?

A: The RF 600mm f/4L IS USM Lens would have identical optics to its EF counterpart.

Q: 9. will this lens focus faster than the EF 600mm mark iii plus adapter?

A: Both the Canon RF 600mm f/4L IS USM Lens and the Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM Lens have the same USM focus motor. Using an adapter with the EF lens will slightly slow down the focus speed.

Q: 10. Is it made in Japan?

A: According to the information in our system, the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens is manufactured in Malaysia.

Switching between carrying my Canon EOS R5 using my strap and mounting on my tripod is a breeze without a a dangling strap getting in the way. Snapping off and on securely is so easy with the Peak Design Anchor Links.

Literally push-of-a-button fast. I use these anchors mostly to secure one strap to either a 5DIV or SmallRig cage. Peak Design’a Anchor Links quickly disengage from strap-entwined receivers when I need to shoot stills or switch to a rig for video. Slots in the receivers are perfect for stock Canon strap and the anchors simply loop through themselves and stay on the camera and rig.

More-than- 200-pound load capacity means I don’t have to worry about the strap failing with docu-video amounts of gear in run-and-gun conditions.

Very convenient for my shooting style and gladly would make the purchase again at $20 shipped.

Makes it so easy to switch bodies and use the same great strap.

When working fast I favor simple, lightweight single loops like OEM camera straps that minimize tangles to the overlapping webbing found in PD’s adjustable offerings. But I’ve tired of the clunkiness and scratches from using other small carabiners or clips for quick removal of my preferred sling. This kit confidently solves that issue even while bearing a 1D X MkII body with telephoto lenses.
