Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it glitch-free switching between inputs? What is latency beetween in and out? Thanks!

A: Switching is fast and glitch free.

Q: 2. What devices are available to use with the GPI input on the back? Can I switch between feeds using external hardware instead of USB? How well does this work?

A: No pre built devices that I am aware of that utilize the gpi. However I built a small control box using non latching buttons tied into the GPI and it works great.

Q: 3. My church use Sony D50 I was wonder would this work with it...and would we still need to use our switcher?

A: Yes it could.

Q: 4. Are the various outputs able to show different things (for example, 8 inputs out to 2 monitors show as 4-up on each monitor) or do the two outputs mirror each other?

A: Use as a 1-to-12-channel multi-viewer or 12-to 1-input multiplexe . Each quadrant is independent of the others, allowing any 3G/HD/SD format of any frame rate to be displayed simultaneously

Q: 5. Is to possible or simple to get tally information to display from a ATEM Production Studio?

A: Hi David, This is Jules from Product Support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master reseller for your region. The DMON-12S allows the triggering of tallies using either GPI or TSL protocol serial control via the RS485/422 port. I hope this helps. Best Wishes Jules

A: The DECIMATOR DMON-16SL 16-Channel SDI Multiviewer with HDMI Output can not output a in a portrait (vertical) format.

Q: 9. i need to go from my macbook running obs via Thunderbolt 3 and have 3 outs. one too my teradeck bolt for livestream via hdmi, one too my led wall laptop via hdmi and one sdi to a projector. can this do that?

A: No the DMON-6S would not work for multiple splits, it combines multiple inputs into one screen. You could use an Apple HDMI adapter (APMUF82AMA), a 1 x 4 HDMI splitter (KASPHD1X44K) and a HDMI to SDI converter (BLCMCHS3WPSU) to connect to all three devices.

Q: 10. Which EMI/EMC certification does this device meet? And temperature range?

A: The operating temperature range of the DMON-16S is 0ºC to 40ºC and the storage temperature range is -20ºC to 45ºC. I have used this unit at other events. It works perfectly in long runs of SDI cable converting to HDMI. I have yet to use this particular one I just purchased but I expect the same results.

A great sdi/hdmi convertor box for whatever you need it for. I use it with a Canon C200 B and it works perfectly.

It comes with a USB power wire and wall plug with interchangeable adapters for use in many different countries.

I highly recommend this convertor over the BMD Micro Convertor.
